For Manhattan, a huge plate of food that's recommended and not reviled at 2am is unheard of, especially when it has flavor. Take your chances with third shift fast food staff. I've paid the price a few times. Denny's in CT and NJ did me dirty enough times that you couldn't pay me to eat there. I puked hard off just a plate of fries while snacking through Denny's in Danbury, CT on my way to Portland, Maine. I'd much rather get a tiny bag of chips and an overpriced envelope of flavor dusted peanuts at the convenience store to tide me over until I can hit a real mom and pop breakfast spot in Vermont or New Hampshire early in the morning. The fact that with a gun at my face, I'd opt for the 7-11 rotary hot dog device and a tiny pack of 5 beef jerky at a sketchy 7-11 in Hartford's North End over Denny's in Vernon should say something. I think bored teens working the graveyard shift in the largely well-to-do northeast have a bone to pick with society at large. They think they deserve more. If you have to stop at Denny's or IHOP in the wee hours in the northeast, pick the place in the worst neighborhood possible. That franchise's employees likely care deeply about retaining an entry level job and not spraying industrial cleaner into your pancake for kicks only to continue pwning n00bz in Mom's basement when they get fired.

The chef said the only difference between indian and pakistani food is that indians use a lot of butter. assuming hes referring to clarified butter or ghee. That may be true, however when the two countries were one. the pakistan region is sort of northern india. most of pakistani people are of the punjabi variety. Hence pakistani food is like north indian food. Or specialists in mughlai food. the meaty items in their food are of persian influences. from back in the day when the empire stretched all the way to india. indian food is dependent on which region youre visiting. north indian and pakistani food is very similar. south india is completely different. .these are all my opinions.

Actually Indian and Pakistani food is very different. I got to know that at an Indian restaurant here in Lahore Pakistan. For Example, DOSA and Palak Paneer are mostly the Indian ones not Pakistani. Similarly, Pakistani Biryani tastes way more different than the Indian one. Also the Chicken Karahi, Chicken Makhni, Chicken Boneless etc taste different than the Pakistani ones. U can say, Pakistani dishes are a little soft in spices than Indian ones. The final look of dishes is same but there definitely is a big difference in taste. And i guess that difference mostly can only be described by Indian or Pakistani chefs.

Pakistani food is a blend of middle eastern, south asian and central/ west asian. Pakistani cuisine incorporates and is a fusion of persian, afghani and indian cuisine. Kebabs/ grilled meat ( beef, chicken, lamb) is a huge part of Pakistani food like its persian neighbors. While curries and lentils are from the indian side. Pakistani cuisine is heavily reliant on meat and beef dishes while indian cusine is mostly vegetarian witj some meat additions passed on by their mughal muslim rulers from central/west asia

The Indians use a lot of cream not exactly butter I would say. This place was ok. Nothing special. Since a lot of non Desis used to go there the taste was pretty bland for some of the items. The chicken makhni used to be too sweet for me. Used to go there occasionally after school. I think Queens has better tasting restaurants in general. Like someone posted here especially Steinway street. Quiet famous. From what I remember this restaurant closed due to multiple food related violations.

Lucas this is awesome. A refreshing episode. It wasn't fancy schmancy. It was the type of place people don't usually film but has got a true loyal base within a community. I love the way you could interact with the people and with your viewers over it. I love its informative and casual air. Keep it up! Bring us some more Pakistani eateries, please! You're really just uncovering a niche area, neglected by mainstream reviewers. Thanks for the content. :)

Its too bad many people associate Pakistan with terrorism. Pakistani food is really good, especially the meat dishes. A lot of the Pakistani restaurants serve authentic food as well. Many of the Indian restaurants are actually run by Bangladeshis and focus more on the drinks side of the menu, and it is hard to find authentic Indian food in many parts of the US.

Hey man. I think that you going out to the restaurants, and being a precursor is great to all of us watching, but, I think what you lack is an oomph of getting me there. I've watched a few videos and I understand who you are (based on you youtube personality) and I want to KNOW I should go to this place, not just WATCH the next video. Thank you

Wow - thanks for eating with your hands. I find that most that don't understand Indian/Pakistani food like to use fork and knife -- does not work! To get the full flavor, you need to eat with your hands. Get messy! Nobody will care! :-)
