I can pretty much guarantee those recipes belong to the Black Woman who worked there for 60 years, Sallys right hand. All the while, making that white family rich for generations. Enabling them to build wealth, send their children to college etc. But on the other side, She and her family members probably only got paid minimum wage for her legacy. That shouldve been their family business! So sad. Happened way too often. Still happening till this day all over this country. Makes me even more determined and motivated to create more businesses in and for our communities, my people, our people, Our CHILDRENS FUTURE!

This looks great, open up a lunch box joint in the city and you'll get business for sure. Make it inexpensive but delicious and bountiful and people will flock especially those who dont have time to make lunch. Similarly, Japan does this with their bento boxes around every corner and it's a cash cow. I hate how fast food has monopolized this industry, it makes it tough for some mom and pop stores to operate. But hey, I wouldn't mind getting into this lunch box business after I retire. Sounds like a great way to give back to the next generation and community.

To all the ppl making the slave master comments. I realize that u have all been socially engineered by the media/ social media to react this way. This was a feel good stiry till I hit the comment section. All i saw was ppl making home cooked food employs that obviously love altheir workplace and basically tradition passed on for generations. Divide and conquer. Are u ppl really so blind and brainwashed u don't see what is being done to your minds?

Im sure most of the food were recopies of the black woman that worked there for sixty years. I noticed black people are doing the cooking thats why the food taste good. If they leave I guarantee the food would taste different. Im sure the family of the business were successful because they took the recipes from the black woman. Thats a shame because white people have been doing that since we were in slavery. They prosper from what black people do.

I love the south, people are so nice. I lived and worked in the USA for 5yrs, I was all over the East Coast from upstate New York, to Massachusetts, West Palm beach Florida, and all the in between. And my favourite place, is South Carolina lived just outside Aiken. Loved the food, and the way of life. Catfish stew all that good stuff. I think I seen more of the USA then most Americans.

THIS IS AMAZING! I totally could imagine someone crying over those deviled eggs too. What a marvelous place! I agree that it's nearly impossible to buy foods that homemade tasting. So happy someone shared this video with me - I just shared my favorite old recipes from my own grandmas this weekends and this fits right in with what I was raised on! Wow.

I'm watching this from Hawaii, and getting such a good vibe from this place. Very charming and lovely. It reminds me of some of our old school, local family operations we have here, that serve plate and boxed lunches. Every community should have places like this. They definitely have the spirit of Aloha.

Woman works there till she dies at 60 for 8 hours a day while sally packs her stuff and retires before 60 an does not step foot back in there as she enjoys her wealth. Why is the worker more dedicated till death and the owner isnt? 3: 50 4: 36Theres a clear difference in dedication

I get what y'all saying. I'm sure if that family got up and walked out with all that passion for food, I'm sure they would be booming too. but the fact that they haven't done that kinda tells me that they are fine where they are. It's probably one big happy family there.
