Lucas, as much I greatly enjoy what you do and you passion for food and cultural exploration, I have to disagree with you one one issue. Food is NOT politics. Food is Art, and like all arts, (music, paintings, etc) it has the potential to rise above the social/political/religious boundaries that make all of us on planet Earth different and unique. We don't have to agree on everything and we might have strong opinions about certain issues, however, at the table we can set them aside and come together, not as Jewish, Christian, Muslim, or Atheist, but, as fellow humans beings. To share a delicious meal together as brothers and sisters of one race. The Human Race.

It's hard not to mention politics with what we're seeing under the current U. S administration, and this is coming from an Independent. The fact is, one side (Republicans) always want to get political, even when it's not called for, and they're praised for doing it. When we have the Democrats or Independents bring up political issues, they're told this is not the time among many other excuses, even when the situation calls for it like in this case.

Lucas is such a class act. Any hack with an opinion can soapbox about it, but he does a great job of presenting foods and cultures with respect and nuance without bashing folks over the head with a particular viewpoint, while still being honest and thought-provoking. It's a great way to encourage people to be curious and explore the world, and hopefully become wiser in the process.

I'm fine with Lucas spending time to mention the political context. However, I'm not fine with that eating into time spent reviewing the dishes. Only half the dishes on the table were mentioned! That pancake thing looked really interesting, and what was the green soup like. I guess we'll never know: (

Please don't mention anything politics related. I always like the comments here because they are full of positivity but once you mention anything politics related you just know it's going to be a messy comment section.

Nice one mate. First the explanation its of the area its located and then the speciality of the restaurant. Overall a nice video. Future improvement ask the manager or waiter for the best dish they have and most sold.

Thank you for doing this. As a food program you don't necessarily have to touch on politics, but the fact that you did even briefly made me respect you. I kind of wish the video wasn't so short though.

God I love this show! It gives us all a chance to experience something not in the norm. And even though politics and food rarely mix well, nicely done! A show and and these dishes well put together!

Don't bother to go to this place. Service is terrible, they serve people they know first, they ignore you except when it's time to pay and they don't even bother to say goodbye. It's a shame.
