I have a thermomix and love love love it! I follow a blog called Skinnymixers. Nikalene is a genius. She has developed heaps of family friendly and healthy recipes. She also has developed a heap of all in one dishes where, like the salmon dish, everything is cooked in the thermomix at once. With two young children, I simply prep anything time consuming in advance (I chop up meat etc and store in the freezer for each recipe so I can simply thaw as needed, and will slice veggies after dinner the previous night whilst husband is home. This allows me to set and forget and have dinner ready for when my husband gets home from work, or quickly whip up a meal when I get home from work. I love the precision of setting a time and coming back to it being done, and being able to recreate the same results time and time again. I made boiled eggs for a large family gathering to go in potato salad. It can take 10 mins just to boil the water. In 12 mins I had 10 perfectly cooked boiled eggs, and was able to steam some veggies at the same time for something else. It may not be for everyone but honestly, I love the thermomix. Have a demo, the consultants are so much better at demonstrating just how versatile this machine is than these two in the video, though they did a good job at demonstrating some key features.

I remember when my mom bought the TM31, wich was the one that gave Thermomix (here we call it Bimby) it's popularity. The TM31 was 1000 that time. Since then, many brands have come up with their own kitchen robots like Moulinex and some supermarket brands, but nothing beat the Thermomix in terms of quality. Tests' magazines always put the Thermomix as the best. Many years have passed and I don't live with her anymore. About 6 months I thought of buying a Thermomix and, even if Vorwerk already launched two versions after the TM31, I still wanted to get the one that I was confortable with, so I bought a used one for 350. Besides, the later one (the TM6) costs 1275. I've never been good or interested at cooking but after I met the Thermomix my desire to produce recipes in it skyrocketed! It's a really easy and helpful tool in every kitchen. Besides, the food you make there is really good, and you reduce your chance to mess things up in the kitchen. Plus you can make a recipe one time after the other and they both come out the same. Is it worth 1275? When you have other brands' robots at a quarter the price? It's a bit heavy compared to other brands but I guess it's like buying a Ferrari instead of a Renault, so if you can afford, absolutely get the Thermomix.

I love cooking and I LOOOOVE thermomixI love that I can make thousands of dishes using only one gadget, I love that you can make 99% of the dishes that pop in your head without needing anything else (some times an oven is necessary as the final step, it doesn't take much space in the kitchen, I love that you can change the recipes or do the same dish over and over always tasting the same way, and I do think that sometimes (most of the time, when dealing with inexperienced cooks) meals really tastes better than using a traditional method. I recommend it to anyone that can afford it. I only use pans for pasta and a couple of other recipes. I don't have a mixer or scale. Thermomix is my no1 kitchen utensil, the one I use 90% of the time. Plus I don't have to stir a pot for 20 min or more for a rice dish anymore. My wrists swell up sometimes because I work a lot on my computer and Thermomix really helps me with that.

Dear EaterI find culinary producer Ian McNulty just a bit myopic and full of himself. I say myopic because he's looking at this machine as an unnecessary cooking option as he seems to think that everyone is equal in the kitchen. Not so. The amazing Thermomix, is not being bought just by the chef and boho elite. No. Please consider that older people or people with physical disabilities as well as those 'caring' for the disabled can really make use of the precision Thermomix; it's wonderful, I expect, to assemble the ingredients, add, press and 'voila'--EVERYTIME. A top quality meal can be prepared at home for the immediate family or even a small dinner party, luncheon. etc. I'm not certain 'just' what a 'culinary producer' produces, but as far as I can see--it seems to be disdain that stops just short of lip curling. Thanks for not having him as a regular part of your show.

These in Europe are around 800. if you think these substitute any blender, a kitchenaid. a mixer. a pot. a pressure cooker. a scale. a sous vide. etc they are pretty reasonable. A Ninja blender/Vitamix is what? 200 dollars? A kitchen aid for baking is what? another 250/300? . the instant pot is what? another 150? sous vide machine another 100. not to mention all the room you need for all these separate appliancesAgain in Europe they are not even close to 1500 - way overprice in the US. You can even buy it used for around 400 and since they are so durable, buying used for around 350-400 is a great deal.

It saves space, it saves time, and even if you're a chef (I really mean chef, not cooks who call themselves chefs, you can focus on spending time creating new recipes rather than the grunt work (there's a reason why chefs spend most of their time supervising the staff working under him rather than doing all the grunt work themselves. It's also built to last, which Americans don't seem to appreciate since they're used to crap from Walmart and Amazon. Seems like a good value to me, and way better (for the average person) than what Esther Choi spent on her combi-oven.

I've had one of these since Christmas 2018 and it's changed my life for the better. I've never been that adventurous (beans on toast was exotic, but I can now knock up some amazing dishes with ease (and it's actually fun. One of the only things to keep in mind is that if you are cooking a complex dish - it can still take a lot of time to prepare (from scratch) and that the preparation times displayed within the app/website are way off (I would double them in a lot of cases. That being said, cooking times are bang on and I have yet to make a bad meal.

In Europe at least you can get the dupe called Monsieur Cuisine Connect or Plus. The Connect is the dupe of the one shown in the video and it's sold out everywhere in Europe, it's THAT good, and costs only 300 EUR (around 370 USD. The predecessor, the Plus version, does the same thing but has knobs and buttons instead of a display and no recipe-following-bot. I bought mine used for 80 EUR and I'm so happy with it! We have a tiny kitchena nd this replaces so many gadgets.

My first day in my new job at a restaurant I slipped on some grease on the floor and some clever person thought the space on the floor behind where I was stood would be a great place to temporary store the brand new Thermomix. I landed on it and broke it. The head chef had put it on the floor right behind me and not told me. He blamed me and I lost my job. He was fired about two weeks after me for some other dumb lie he had told. I have mixed emotions about Thermomix.
