This is such a wonderful recipe, I will use this for probably every cookie I make from now on! I made three tweaks: 1) instead of linzer cookies, I added only the almond extract to the butter cookie base and made thumbprints with cherry preserves 2) I added orange zest and cranberries to the sugar cookies, and 3) I made the whole recipe vegan this time for the recipients by using country crock plant butter (omitted the salt from recipe, and aquafaba for the egg whites

Emma, hands down excellent cookie recipe. I made yesterday for New Year-s Day, everyone loved them. I loved that they were not overly sweet. Just the perfect amount of sugar. Made a ton of cookies. My favorites were the linzer cookies with raspberry jam, although all were delicious. Recipe reminded of the Italian holiday cookies u see in stores. Everyone must try, you won-t be disappointed! These are the best cookies you'll ever try. I made these for my son's birthday party, and they disappeared right away! I had left some extra batter frozen for later on, but after a week there were none! My kids had eaten them like that! frozen, not even baked! These are amazing, you'll love them: )

This is the best cookie dough recipe ever! but that's no surprise, your recipes never failed me: )-I made the vanilla and chocolate dough's, and the combinations were short from endless. And you're totally right, the expression -melt in your mouth- takes a whole new meaning with these cookies.
