This recipe is only for fresh bananas. I don-t know about anyone else but this wouldn-t work as a -instead of banana bread make this-. Because I make my banana bread with bananas that are too mushy to eat normally And then it usually goes in the freezer till I-m ready to make banana bread. The bananas are always brown.

hey emma, I just made this cake and it is delicious esp with the custard, and I followed the instructions exactly as I could with your video but after 30 minutes of letting the cake cool, it completed deflated and became kind of dense? it's good, but not exactly what I expected and how ur looked.

To intensify the banana flavour you can add banana - extract or pudding mix to custard or even add extra mashed banana after cooling, so avoid brown discolouration. You may need to add a little more milk if adding banana pudding mix to get thickness you want for spreading

If you want to add more banana flavor without adding more mashed banana, they do make extracts and liquors. I used Banana liquor in my last Banana Pudding and it came out fantastic.
