Learn how to make Bacorn Inspired by The Bun Shop in LAs famous Corn Cheese, this creamy corn casserole is a perfect side dish for any and all cookouts or barbecues. John Berg: I made this for our 4th of July celebration today and it is great I used an ounce or so more cheese (both types) and used about 5 ounces of regular bacon and 3 ounces of thick cut turkey bacon that I cooked with the pork bacon. I did this out of necessity because I did not have enough pork bacon, but it turned out great because I fried the turkey bacon along with the pork bacon to give it crispness and all that flavor. Thanks, Chef John

Chef. I don't know if you read all of the overwhelming amounts of replies here. I would think nothing less of you if you don't. I just want to say thanks. I have watched you for a few years now. My cooking has improved so much that my dog will actually eat it. She wouldn't before. You have helped me tremendously. If I knew you. I'd owe you a beer or 2. Thanks and I hope you keep at it. We are all grateful. Cheers.

Chef John see if they ever have Silver Queen early when corn comes in. It may be just a southern corn, not sure. But we put it up often. Get it morning it is picked. It is the sweetest white corn you have ever tasted. I have fried it with bacon and onions before. It needs nothing other than a generous amount of fresh black and sprinkle of salt.

This man is the Male Julia Child - just totally ignores healthy alternatives lol. (drain Bacon fat - use Coconut Oil for the other ingredients) - continue with recipe. Use Sea Salt or Pink Hymalian Salt. Make homemade Mayo with a blend of olive oil and coconut oil - the corn oil (used in store bought) is Toxic Stuff -

So whenever I see bacon in a recipe, I'm trying to see if I can substitute it with smoked tofu so that the vegetarians in our family will eat it. I guess the tofu sliced, deep fried in vegetable oil and then softening when cooked with the other plant materials might actually work to make it truly vegetarian.

Chef John is there a chance of you making a beef olive recipe? The ones I had we're beef sausages wrapped in a thin steak then browned in a pan and you finish cooking it in an onion gravy. It tends to change depending on where you look for a recipe but I would highly recommend it
