Turkish Turkey Chili Pasta - Food Wishes

This Turkish turkey chili pasta is a spin on the viral Turkish pasta, which is in itself meant to be a deconstructed version of a Turkish stuffed pasta called manti. Those little dumplings are incredible, but this is much easier to make, equally amazingly, and every bit as enjoyable.

When I went to Turkey I fell in love with manti (mahn-tuh) the lamb filled ravioli served with the yogurt garlic sauce and melted butter with Aleppo pepper and mint. I think that was the original inspiration for this version. If you used ground lamb instead of turkey you’d be most of the way there. Making little ravioli is a pain. Love your videos. You make things a little simpler so people try something different. Bravo!

I loved your Manti episode, but obviously, deconstructing anything, these days, is such hype, as long as you don't have to fiddle with the food too much, anything will rock. However, I get you, since it's turkey season, so many folks are at a loss, for some variations on the theme! Great recipe, as always, especially stewing it with the butter from the start, turkey is so lean, a real mind-bender! From Paris

Long-time viewer here. Overhead camera is good for visibility, but I really like your regular way when I'm in front of you or just behind your stove. When you are fiddling more with form than with content you are doing it wrong, unless you are in marketing or some other purple-pants profession. Legendary internetz quote from decades ago. John, your filming technique has never been a limiting factor!

I was looking for a recipe for Senate Bean Soup. The soup served every day at the US senate. I was sure you would have a recipe, but I noticed that you didn't. This is a hearty, delicious and traditional bean soup. I would love to see your take on the recipe.

Instead of overhead shots you should have invested in better image quality.
It's 2025, people want to watch content in 4K, not 1080p, a standard from 15 years ago.
Not to mention the poor color reproduction.

In order to not overcook the turkey, wouldn’t it be better to remove it from the pan after it’s browned, then add all the remaining ingredients, then add back the turkey before simmering Love Chef John!

I am Turkish and I have never cooked this recipe with ground turkey meat. I will definetely try it with turkey mince, thank you for the idea Chef John!

My friend, you remind me a lot of me. Thank you for feeding people. I love your honesty, comedy and productions. You are doing good.

Since I’ve learned to make Bolognese sauce, I’ve always held that chili is basically Bolognese with a variation of spices.

This looks so yummy! I ALWAYS dollop sour cream in my bowl of chili mac. I’ll have to try this newfangled garlic yogurt instead.

Oh cool, I basically made this by accident when I wanted a turkish Bolognese and used turkey because I was dieting lol.

Top camera looks fantastic, I love this new camera angle. Very helpful to see so clearly what things look like when cooking

I'd love to add beans, so I was trying to figure out what kind. then it came to me. chickpeas! Definitely gonna try that.

We've changed the name of the country from Turkey to Turkiye just to avoid being joked about turkey the animal and yet. lol

I’m going to make this, but I’ll be using ground lamb instead of turkey. And maybe using tuom instead of garlic yogurt.
