In Italia food is a religion, from the upper north to the far south. If you visit the bigger cities please ask locals where to eat! They tell you where to eat, it is not on the main streets but a few blocks away from the centro. Do not go for the popular restaurants in front of the Coloseum etc etc etc. Mainly i stay in Umbria/Toscana, well i can tell you food is everything. Look for the so called Sagra's season ( some kind of local festa's on each town, hill, city) and you WILL enjoy food and wine. Yes you can find excellent food and drinks all over the globe but in Italia it always gifs me that extra wow-factor. Keep the ingredients simple and follow the traditional Italian way of cooking, your vacation is already a succes than!

Thank you chef Gennaro for your videos. I'm a Filipino almost all of my knowledge about Italian cuisine is I learned from you and chef Jamie and because of that I got a chance to work in an Italian Cruise ship. I will fly this 2nd week of May 2019. Philippines to Rome. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.

Buying groceries this way in Canada, the RCMP (police) would take care of him. but this is Europe. But inbEurooe, no buy without a test. Too bad that most of the veggies are import from Africa or from Sicilly at this tine of the year.

This brings tears to my eyes because of the markets in Italy are like miniature gardens of eden. 2 more years before we move there and take advantage of our own little farm. Love you and Jamie.
