Back with Jamie at Home and in this clip he shows us what cut of beef he thinks works best for steak and a little hack to distribute more flavour and juiciness! No romance is lost in this clip, summer time, cooking over coal and sweet noughties Jamie wardrobe. What's not to love! totti2k2: I've seen you cook about 4 different steaks. Jamie, you can't cook steak. That's fine, we all have disadvantages. Nobodies perfect. Just move on friendo.

There is no reason to kill animals for food, there is plenty of food in the world that asks for itself. If you are inclined to eat meat, then according to the law of karma you will receive the body of a predator. For the eternal soul to be in such a body means to fall. The soul, having received the human body must devote its life to spiritual self-awareness. For killing a cow, for selling, for eating cow meat, etc, a person will be punished according to the law of karma. The world is full of food (milk, vegetables, fruits, honey, legumes, nuts, herbs, which itself asks in the hands. There is no reason to kill defenseless animals, this is not a civilized life.

The At Home series is the best Jamie s ever done, it literally changed my life. showing you how to grow herbs and vegetables, when to harvest them, and simple, non pretentious, brilliant ways to cook them. I m half a farmer during the summer months now thanks to this. For people complaining about the ketchup. he s not putting Heinz on it! he made it himself using top quality tomatoes, onions, garlic, herbs and spices. Not tomato paste vinegar and 3lbs of sugar. Watch the series. it s brilliant!

Kudos for the ketchup. Purists will scream, but ketchup is an Urcondiment as far as I am concerned. Coming from the deep south here in the USA, ketchup for me is a staple, I buy it in three large jugs at a time, so I never run out, there is always one on the backup food shelf downstairs. Use it on scrambled eggs and cheese. Nothing is better than ketchup with fried potatoes. Sitting here at 4 am because I could not sleep, I am so looking forward to breakfast now in a couple hours.

I'm surprised at you Jamie. I thought you were interested in the welfare of the planet. We are being encouraged to eat less meat to help with the global warming - cows and all that. I do know that you are also encouraging veggie consumption, but this seems rather like a' cover your back thing!

This looks incredible! Jamie, how do you tell if a steak/meat is cooked - or what point it's cooked to - rare, medium rare, well done etc - just by feeling it? I've never come across that before! Could you do a little video teaching us that technique - It's always so hard to tell! xx

I will never get tired of watching episodes of Jamie at home! I wish they were more readily available to watch, can you guys make that happen?
