I normally use home-made limoncello to soak the biscuits. Delicious! But sometimes I mix half milk, half rum (or bourbon, add some sugar and a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon, and soak the biscuits in that. very festive! Or add a bit of coffee for that tiramisu flavour. :D Any combination of dry and candied fruits and nuts can be put into the ricotta mix. I love dry figs and candied lemon and orange peel in it. And pistachio. Lovely stuff! The possibilities are endless!

so easy. truly is a mantra that all of us should adopt with all of our endeavors. The more I hear it the bolder I become and the eagerness and excitement slowly manifesting into action steps: in this case, going to the store and buying some ricotta and ladyfinger cookies

Hi Jamie I have a question plz You and Gennaro sometimes use red or white wine in cooking specially on pasta sauce! Is it possible to offer anything alcohol-free instead of wine to cook the pasta sauce? the Vinegar is suitable replacement or not? TanQ

Gennaro is definitely Italian but emigrated to the UK when he was a young fellow, therefore he has a mixed British and Italian accent. He tells this story in one of his Greedy Italian videos. You should watch them. They are very entertaining. :)

We were supposed to go to Italy in September, our mother's birthplace, but because of COVID we had to cancel. I can't wait to go back and pray for the day this is all over. Love you Italy, I pray for your peace and good health!

I laughed so hard when he popped the champaign cork off and it sounded like it hit the bell, thats what i love about Gennaro. He puts those little dry humored things in his videos to top them all off.

Is it possible to have this recipe alcohol free? It's just that even a sip of beer turns my face red and I really want to avoid looking drunk at a dinner party.

His enthusiasm is commendable it adds that little bit of flavour to the video that makes it really really nice, just like the cocoa powder in the desert!
