Recipe Video for Thin and Thick Teriyaki Sauce. Learn how to make a finger licking good Teriyaki Sauce from scratch. You can use this sauce on many different food dishes; I love to use the thick sweet teriyaki sauce by brushing it on to some tender spare ribs or some juicy fried chicken wings. Ingredients: - Garlic and Ginger (1x small bit of each) - 1 tsp Sesame seed oil + 2 tsp olive oil - 50 g Brown Sugar (1. 76 oz) - 150 ml Soy Sauce (0. 63 US Cup) - 150 ml Mirin (0. 63 US Cup) - 50 ml Sake (0. 21 US Cup) - Toasted Sesame seeds (for thick sauce)

ok, I just made this but 100ml of soy and mirin instead. I just add a little salt to taste when it thickens. Let it thicken up a lot, like honey nearly then finally use the sake to thin it out once you cut the heat and are ready to use it/bottle it. The sake makes it penetrate meats more and its a bit of a waste if you just boil it off. The idea is it will thicken up when poured over freshly cooked meat as the sake that's dissolved in it will evaporate, penetrating then leaving a nice concentrated flavour. just enough sake to thin it out, not 150 ml I dunno I probably used 50ml.

If the issue about spelling your name is not an issue, why bring it up in conversation? Grating the skin off the ginger stretches its use; but never mind. You can substitute mirin with a combination of water, sugar, rice vinegar, and a pinch of salt, but again. never mind. Go into Souped Up Recipes. she is wonderful, and does something most don't. she almost always mentions substitutes and methods, which we all can use.

I made up a simpler recipe which I always use: You will need: Soy sauce Sugar Flour You take the soy sauce and pour it it a bowl. Add the desired amount of sugar. Then microwave for 30 seconds and add flour or cornstarch to thicken. Microbe again and mix. Now it s ready! P. S. I made it up and it WORKS, try it!

The video is great, but the method is not correct. It took me 2 years to make a Teriyaki sauce. And master's method (Japanese) is very different from this video. And this video has a lot of materials but the method of making and quantifying is very different from Japan's Teriyaki. really sorry!

Not bad chef, but you need loads more garlic and ginger! Grate your garlic and ginger finally - 4-6 cloves of garlic for this quantity; a large piece of ginger 1. 5x1. 5 inches; 2 small green chillies, finally minced; and use honey instead of sugar.

What is this accent called? It's reminiscent of a mule attempting to gargle the alphabet with a mouth full of marbles and dung. Urglop-terblerph'der'purggleslorp 'n guhnt t-mlrph t'wrophter mumty. sersha. erm'gay.

I thought this was a comedy skit at first; with the small slithers of garlic and ginger. Are you serious? I bet you are the kind of guy that cuts the crust of his samiches. What is this world coming to?
