Beef and potatoes casserole has been a family staple for years. But instead of making a cream sauce, we just used a can of cream of mushroom or cream of chicken condensed soup with milk. And add in a dash of worscheshire sauce to the soup mixture just before pouring over the meat and potatoes. Also, rather than just cooking diced onions with the meat, we would layer sliced rings of onion with the potatoes, then add the meat and the soup. Cook in the oven until the potatoes are cooked through and fork tender, then top with the cheese, put back in the oven until browned on top and bubbly all around.

I love these kind of potatoes haven't had them in over 35-40 years. Basically I was a little girl my grandmother and some of my aunts periodically would make these kinds of dishes I love Morton's nature's seasoning blend is really all purpose you can season any type of meat or any kind of vegetable dish it's a lot better but not over salty. Specially when doing ground beef turkey lamb chicken fish curry goat if you're into that. I love saltine avocado oil or macadamia nut oil just to give it a sense of butter in this naturally

Angelica, these days I always have the Knorr chicken bouillon powder around thanks to your example. So I'm never without chicken stock in some form or other. Anyway this looks awesome! I'll have to try it. I'd even eat it with biscuits and either a salad or some sauteed green beans on the side. I have potatoes I need to use. gold but I'm sure they'll work here. Gonna have to try this this coming weekend!

My question is: can you show me recipes made for a larger crowd
I live by your small ones, but need big ones too.
No problem if you can't.

Looks delicious! But why dirty up a casserole dish Put everything back into the cast iron pan and cook it in the oven. Why dirty up q casserole dish Maybe for presentation purposes Cast iron is so much easier to clean. It needs to soak for a little bit, but I cook all of my casseroles in my cast iron skillet. The leftovers go into a smaller dish.

You always make the best meals! Every one that I have made is as tasty as it looks. FYI: One of the most requested dishes that I learned from you is your baked beans that uses breakfast sausage in it. It’s also the recipe my husband asks for every time we bbq. Thx so much for sharing your recipes and tips with us!

Growing up, my Mom would make this at least once a week, served with home made flour tortillas! And the tortillas were not 4 or 5 inches they were always 7 inches diameter! Miss my Mom.

Hi A! Your casserole looks really delish. My friend Bonnie made one similar to your recipe but she used beef broth with tomato soup. Anyways I would give your recipe a try. YUMS. Nice Video.
