I make a dish similar to this for breakfast using Breakfast Sausage, brown it and set aside, wipe the skillet out and cook my Potatoes on top of the stove, when they are tender, I top with Green Pepoers sliced thin, lid and cook about 7 minutes until they are tender, returncm the sausage, top with Mild cheddar cheese, lid and cook until the cheese melts, serve with toast or Biscuits. I use the same ingridients, except I use Lean Ground Beef, and add onion sliced thin with the Peppers and we eat it for supper with a Green Salad and garlic bread. When my Son was a Little Boy, he called it Mother's Garbage Bowl. We still call it that. Ground beef seasoned with Taco Seasoning would be the Bomb!

Good looking recipe Angelica! You had another ground beef and potato one pot casserole not too long ago that was made with a milk-based cream sauce that was quite good. Taco seasoning. when I make tacos I usually just brown my ground beef with onions and Montreal steak seasoning, then add some of my homemade American style chili powder and a little water to make a sauce. Anyway this looks like a good one to try. Sort of another entry into Angelica's homemade hamburger helper series. I agree with you on extra potatoes. I like veggies. I might even add carrots!

When you came up short on cream I mouthed use sour cream. It's like you heard me! In any event, I made this tonight (including sour cream) and made only two modifications. First, I added one cup of sliced mushrooms and sauteed them along with the onions and second, I covered the dish with Reynolds non-stick aluminum foil. I only discovered it a few years ago and I love using it for instances like this where I don't want food to stick. In any event, it's a lovely recipe and I'll make again. Thanks for sharing yet another creative weeknight meal recipe.

That looks so good it made me salivate and I could swear I smelled it LOL (seriously) I guess for 10 yrs now I only buy non-stick foil. I won't have any other kind in the house, messed with that stuff for years. work smarter not harder is a real thing! Thanks much for sharing this one.

I love this and make it often. It's literally my last short. Lol. I switching up the creamy topping from time to time but same thing. Easy and delicious. Good to see you make it too. Love your videos. I've made some of your recipes and tgey are always good! from AZ

This looks Delicious! It's very similar to meals we cooked for our kids while they were younger. But. We used beef flavoring instead of taco flavoring. Now it's just me as I'm widowed, but I know I can make a smaller portion for myself.

I don't think I could cook without beef, chicken, and chicken tomato bullion powders. i have everything you used, except I mix up my own taco seasoning, because my husband is on a low sodium diet, and bullion has plenty.

Looks delicious! I had to go back to make sure you used raw potatoes I just had an incident with my potatoes not cooking in a pot of stew! Took a very long time. Yours are cooked just fine though!
