Thank you so much for all the wonderful recipes. My family uses cabbage because it’s a great way to have veggies, bulk up a main dish, and it’s usually affordable. Please keep more wonderful recipes coming. Please especially keep the really affordable ones coming because I don’t know anyone who isn’t struggling financially right now except our politicians that just gave themselves a huge raise. All the families I know personally though are struggling with grocery prices and rising costs. I love the Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix! More cabbage roll recipes and I would love some really good cabbage soup recipes. Thank you for listing recipe ingredients at the beginning. You’re wonderful and my family appreciates you sharing your recipes.

What wonderful recipes. I also mix Italian sausage into sauteed cabbage. I'd love to see what you would do with Haluski (Hungarian Cabbage & Noodles. My mother used to make it having learned from a friend originally from Hungary. She'd caramelize onions and cabbage in butter, season with salt & pepper and then mix all into homemade egg noodles (I just use DeCecco Pappardelle instead. I often add bacon, sausage or ham to this dish, too. Thanks for your recipes. Always so tasty.

Learn to can it yourself. that way you always have it on your shelf. Went back to canning all my favorites even canning dog food. Lived on the beach for years learned to put food away for hurricane season. Got trapped away from home one hurricane and lost all my freezer stuff. never again. Empty the freezer from June to November due to power failure. Hey everyone speaking of hurricane season. Load up on shelf stable milk one I just bought has expire date of 1 / 2026

For drumsticks that are fairly large, you can use a sharp knife and cut some deep slits in the chicken. All those seasonings get down into the meat and it’s so delicious. Works well to do the same with chicken breasts too.
Girl, I love cabbage cooked or raw in a slaw. These seasonings that you chose look so delicious. I’m going to try cooking my cabbage using your techniques and seasonings. I can make a meal with it same as you. Thanx for sharing.

Hey here’s a cabbage recipe. Like purple cabbage, slivered carrots, onion slivered apple, cranberry, pineapple, sausage rounds. Season with ginger, clove, Asian 5 spice. fry it all up sprinkle on some nuts, pumpkin seed or sunflower seed serve. Another favorite is everything listed above but not the spices. Mix in the nuts or seed and Asian sweet chilli sauce.

My daughter has become a non meat eating person at 38 and I’m gonna make a few of these re pies with out meat but I’ll fry the cabbage in the bacon so it has the flavor not the meat. I do that with her spaghetti. I make the meat sauce but I drain the hamburger before putting the sauce in it and cook the sauce in the hamburger grease for her.

Always ate cabbage cooked with onion, tomato, garlic and water or broth. instead of squash. We are Mexican and always had meatless meals with veggies variations on this same theme. Tortillas and beans and rice sides. Also Green Beans we scramble with eggs or peas and eggs with tomato and onion.

Your timing is impeccable, Angelica! I bought a small head of cabbage for a stir fry I made a few days ago. I still have half a head of cabbage in my fridge and was trying to figure out what to make with it before it goes bad. I think I'm going to make the cowboy butter cabbage tomorrow for dinner

I too love cabbage and never can figure out how else to make it. Thanks for the help. I'm a good cook I just used to work a lot. Therefore I just threw things together and there's dinner. My poor family never complained. I'm old and alone now. Miss my hubby and see my child and her family often.

Thank you so much for this video! I'm actually going to try some of these! I'm not a big fan of cabbage but I think it's cuz when I was little the only way it was prepared was boiled and I know how a vegetable is prepared can truly change how you feel about it!

All of it looks delicious! Love cabbage; thanks for the new ideas. Btw, in the South we melt bacon grease in the skillet and heat it up before adding cornmeal batter, to produce a golden crust. Like to add pico de gallo to cornbread batter.

I use a lot of cabbage in several different ways. I make Unstuffed Cabbage after many years of rolling it out. and the other thing when I make Coleslaw, I saute the raw cabbage shreds a little (then chill well) before adding the dressing.

Our favorite cabbage dish will always be Hungarian Haluski. We love cabbage in all its forms, but Haluski is extra special because it also has noodles in it!
