I miss my grandmother. Please give your abuelita a hug, just because. -- I love the use of V-8 there, I add it to dishes sometimes. I'm surprised y'all didn't mince the garlic finer, but hey, I suppose it works if cooked longer. Why am I fussing about the potatoes not cubed, those rounds should be fine, lol. I really like the idea of the tomato-flavored chicken bouillon and will need to get some. This dish sounds hearty and delicious; learning more about real Tex-Mex home cooking; yum! -- I kind of wonder about stuffed bell peppers, why we don't just chop op the bell peppers and cook them in with all the filling, based on another recent recipe and my own recent experience with store-bought frozen ones.

Your grandmother is so precious and you (and your mom) are so lucky to be able to visit and shower her with love! I know she really enjoys the food that you prepare for her and your help cleaning her home. You have such a wonderful family and truly understand the wisdom of spending time with all of the generations. Your children will learn what they see you do and will (hopefully) carry on your family traditions.

Nothing like a home cooked meal with loved ones, I would like to add that you don't have to have fancy or new things to make a meal or be happy, most of our most loved dishes and cooking pans are hand me downs from our Grandmothers and we love to cook with them and talk about the great time we had when they were still here with us.

With the recipe, I can definitely cook this with some rice. I've been looking for new recipes to try. Instead of V8 juice, can I use a can of tomato sauce like you mentioned? And what size? Keep the videos coming!

Ah that s so nice being able to cook for your grandma and visit and help around in whatever she needs cause grandmas are very special in our lives makes me just to remember my grandmas I lost them mom a long time ago best wishes and spend every minute you can with her Familia Aguila

I second the comment about blessed to have your grandmother. Your video made me tear up because my grandmother (an Italian) was one of the world's best grandmothers and cooks. I learned a lot from her and I miss her. Thanks for all your videos as I enjoy them a lot.

It's probably a generation thing but my grandmother, mom and every older lady I know cuts her potatoes, onions, etc that way. I used to think it was a Portuguese thing but now I see it's probably a generation thing? Anyway, your grandmother is adorable!

A good granddaughter! Btw, I love that tomato bullion because it adds so much flavor. I always put it in my Mexican rice too. Since it s an important ingredient you might want to include on the written recipe.

Looks like Calito We do it a little different use ground beef, potatoes and green chilis. Really good in a pinch. Served with flour tortillas.
