From 8: 56 on for a while you can hear a monk chanting over a loudspeaker. Curious fact, Thailand is one of the most religiously observant countries on the planet. Almost all young men spend time as a monk in their youth and then return to the monasteries years later to become ordained. It would be very difficult to separate Thai culture from Buddhism. Abjectly fascinating.

Everything looks delicious, but I'd totally hit that insect stall. Not only is the owner fun and friendly, but fried insects are really good. I've had fried crispy mealworms, and they were so good. Just like Mark said about the silkworms, the mealworms have a nutty flavor, and they're really addictive.

I absolutely love his show. I have one question have you ever had a problem eating raw crab I watched a program and I hate to say it for those who love this however they developed a very bad infestation in their body from a parasite. It took the doctors a long timeto figure this one out

Aunties BBQ Ribs and Chicken. That and other amazing sights. When I go back to Thailand I will look for this fair. It seems that it is the best that Thailand has to offer. That Seafood salad and the final Chicken and noodles just blows my mind. What hospitality. What Sanuk!

Mark does get recognised and stopped sometimes. However, he goes about his business with his family alongside and does not seek out attention. Yin hates being on camera and tries not to attract too much attention either apart from talking about food and culture.

People are just so friendly. They knew Mark has done so much for promoting Thai cuisine all over the years. I can imagine when Mark's finished exploring the fair his belly already full just from people giving him free samples in a way to appreciate what he has done

Ever since we came back from Thailand, I just HATE going to any fairs here in the States. The prices here are so grossly expensive. $50 will only get you one or two items at the fairs and they’re not even that good! I count the days I can go back to Thailand.

11: 12 You have to appreciate the marketing opportunity here. Mark you look like you got hijacked in the best way brother you are living the best life only fair that those around you who are savvy get a bit of marketing out of it.

Going to the fair in another country, you have late everyone see, how great the foods are and made with ever stand having there own style and ingredients and spices and with their special way of preparing the dishes.

Mark, is the backpack a carry-over from your early days I see you still carry it around and just wondered if it is a continuity prop now that you're quite successful. I like the look, but was just wondering.

When I first started watching Mark, I used to think, I would love to see this guy on Hot Ones! But aftera few years of watching, I've come to realize, it would be pointless! This guy wouldn't even flinch!

Omg the cacophony when the prayers started coming over the loudspeakers. Combined with the heat and the crowds. The food looked good, but I dunno, the vibes just seemed kinda off.
