Mark eat anything and have you thinking its good, then if it's something he don't care for he dump a bunch of chilies on it. Lmao, gotta love him. I watch his videos everyday. He should be on T V. He make me run home from dialysis and cook the spiciest stuff I could think of. I had lost my best friend last April and I had stop eating and had become unhealthy cause I couldn't eat and I kept getting sick not realizing it. God sent me Mark and I have been eating and cooking and gained my weight back and I am very healthy now. Thank You God for Mark and his family and friends, So pleasant to watch him and thanks for bringing food back to my life. Little things matter good people. AKA I love Spicey.

Every Peranakan family has their own unique spin to the main recipes, that's where the magic is. Though, the sad fact is that these recipes are extremely labour intensive and that there are no proper written versions of ingredient amounts and all. My family members learned how to prepare these dishes by observing their grandmothers prepared them. I love my heritage and I enjoy cooking, but these recipes are waaaaay too involved.

Mark your videos are great but you already know that. Anyways, just wanted to say I really feel sorry for Ying. She has to shoot the video and endure and fight the urge and temptation to dig in. I mean as I am watching any of your videos I could barely control myself. I literally need to prep myself with a meditation first I could only imagine what Ying has go through. Poor Ying hope you guys can enjoy a meal together someday.

for the most part the food in singapore is mainly pre-cooked and processed in a central kitchen or from a food and condiments supplier, especially those chain outlets and foodcourts, even hawkers and coffeeshops also becoming like that already. so we need more of these such eateries that buys fresh ingredients and cooks them like a family meal

The nut has to be knocked to take out the filling, hence the 'heart shape' because the top part has been chipped off. The flesh of the nut has to be taken out, blended or mashed and placed back in again. It is too difficult to eat the nut as is. Sometimes people blend the nut flesh with some pork or prawns before replacing it in the nut shell.
