SUBSCRIBE HERE Watch more Korea food videos On Day 11 in South Korea, we visited Iksan, and then for dinner I was introduced to Jeonju Makgeolli, which is a type of rice wine and in Jeonju they take it to the next level, accompanied by a massive mind-blowing delicious meal. If youre new here, check out my full South Korean food video playlist here: 00: 38 Mireuksa Temple Site - For our first stop of the day, we headed to Mireuksa Temple Site, which is an ancient Korean temple site located in Iksan. Much of the original temple and area has been destroyed, but efforts are being made to restore and renovate it. 2: 36 Rack-Si-Ru Restaurant - For lunch we drove into Iksan city and went to a restaurant called Rack-Si-Ru Restaurant, known for serving Korean style salted grilled fish (we also ate this same type of grilled fish in Seoul. The meal was excellent, especially because the fish was served with all the different side dishes. Price - 8, 000 Won (6. 83) per person 6: 05 Special Forces - 30, 000 Won (25. 60) for 2 - Our next activity of the day we drove over to the Special Forces arena, and got all geared up in combat gear and had a match against a random team. It was pretty fun, and a lot of good exercise running around. 7: 56 Daedunsan Provincial Park ) - We then took a drive over to Daedunsan Provincial Park, which is yet another beautiful mountain park in Jeonbuk province. Although I would have loved to go hiking, we didnt have too much time, so we took the Cable Car - 9, 000 Won (7. 68) round trip, to the top of the mountain for a nice view and then back down again. 9: 50 Yetchon Makgeolli ) - Makgeolli ) is a type of Korean rice wine, and while you can get it all over Korean, Jeonju Makgeolli ) takes thing to the next level. Yetchon Makgeolli is a famous restaurant that specializes in makgeolli, and when you order a kettle full of it, it comes with and unbelievable selection of Korean dishes. And when you order more makgeolli, they give you more and more food. We literally had a double decker layer of food on our table when we were eating. And these were just like simple Korean dishes, these were some of the most amazing Korean dishes I had during my trip to Jeonju. The loud ambiance of the restaurant, the makgeolli, and all the food made it a truly memorable Korean food experience

Loved your video. Very precise description of the places and foods you are having. You seem to be a gourmet and not picky on foods at all. However, your comments on some korean foods are too positive. I have a lot of foreign friends but there wasn't any one so far who gave me positive comments on fermented sting ray fish. At the same time some of the ways you eat korean foods are not correct and I wonder why any Koreans next to you do not give the information to you.

I was there in 1984 and at least one wooden temple was standing then. It had survived many years of war. Korean chopsticks are the hardest in the world to use, I ate mostly fish when I was there. Beef and pork was very rare and very expensive then. I love fish so I loved the food. The corn dogs and hamburgers were made of fish. My favorite drinks were Soju and OB Beer.

For those of us that do not have the means to travel, Thank you so much Mark for letting us experience the world from the comfort of our couch. It's great to see and learn about how other people in different parts of the world live. After all we are all one, created by God, no matter what our skin color is. Remain blessed Mark.

what the heck of all this pig-ignorant comments? The raw crab is already ferminated in the very salty soy sauce so it's rly safe. not only korea but also in Japan &china it's freakung popular food& abt octopus? so U guys never boil 'alive' mussels. U guys kill the mussels for cook? no bcos dead mussels means it's spoiled. Just get educated ppl

The true beauty of Korean cuisine is that a meal is a celebration. Koreans do not take anything for granted and learn to appreciate the culinary beauty of each dish. Having said that, I could never appreciate the fermented stingray. You captured that meal experience well. Thumbs up

oh boy, I love the octopus, It is pitty that in Europe you do not have possibility to buy it alive. I have never had fresh raw crab for example. Closed cockles is considered poisonous. I guess they were also raw? How did they kill that crab? I'm impressed. Considering visit.

Getting accustomed to Korean food takes long time. I was born to be a Korean man and at last realized that Kimchi was delicious after turning 30 yrs old. Nobody could say Korean food tastes amazing in first try. Mark was hypocritical to the certain degree in this vid.
