The Hungry Tourist: T-shirts: For this video, I was on the Best of Tokyo Food Tour with David from The Hungry Tourist. His tours are one of a kind and focus on deep high end food For more details check out The Hungry Tourist: Instagram: Facebook: Shima Steak ( ) is a well, one of the must-eat wagyu beef steak restaurants in Tokyo, and it was an honor to be able to have a chance to eat there for lunch one day on this Tokyo food tour. You could either order the sirloin or the fillet, and I decided to go for the sirloin, because its known to be a little fatter and juicier. The chef at Shima Steak ( ) has developed his own unique grill for steak, where its a wood fire oven, but it grills and bakes at the same time. He cuts hugely thick slices of wagyu beef steak and then skewers them to cook in the oven grill. It was one of the most tender, juicy, and insanely flavorful steaks Ive ever had. And not only the food, but I really enjoyed the friendliness of the restaurant, the chef and his wife, and how it really felt like you were going over to your relatives or grandparents house to eat a top of the line Japanese beef wagyu steak. Thanks for Khun Mangmoom for letting me try the wagyu fillet For dessert, one of the things you cant miss when you eat at Shima Steak is their world famous steak sandwich. You have to watch the full video to see how its made, but all I can say is that it will amaze you how much beef they stack into the sandwich and how they pack it into a to go box bento style. Its mind blowing, and insanely delicious Price - about 12, 000 JPY (106. 94) per steak Thank you to The Hungry Tourist for inviting me on The Best of Tokyo Food Tour. I didnt personally pay for the food in this video. NOTE: I did not pay for the food in this video, it was part of the tour

Im not a Wagyu expert so apologies if my comment is incorrect but the first cut of Wagyu he tried looked horrible. The steak was cooked so unevenly with pockets of completely rare beef mixed with medium. The gradient also looks shocking for how deep it goes. I dont know but I would be heavily disappointed paying that much for a beautiful cut of meat to only have it cooked terribly.

I would like to convince myself that its really delectable and all that only if he do not get the same exact reaction on his face on all the food he eats. TBH it's getting phony after watching 3-6 videos of him. Better if he could just be descriptive on his experience through words since we as his audience is not at the same plane of gustatory glory he's in when filming his stuff.

There is a Japanese Asian market by me, and I love looking at their meet their beef is really got a lot of fat in it and it's really expensive. I was always wondering why was it so expensive? Now I know they are dealing with the best beef they can buy it looks just like this beef, now I have no problem buying it and know it'll melt like butter when I cook it and eat it

Looks great but very, very fatty and rich. The Australian wagyu is superb and finds the perfect balance for me but the Japanese wagyu is top shelf, no argument from me but just personal preference. Try Jacks Creek Aussie wagyu. Voted best steak in the world recently I believe.

While I imagine the food was beyond spectacular, the level of hospitality they showed was very impressive. The chef walking out with the customers and wishing them well on their journey is so impressive. Much like how you would treat a dinner guest at your home. Awesome

Jeez that damn GH5 focus issue. Happens every once in a while. Did they ever fix it with a firmware upgrade? Im trying to distract myself from thinking and drooling over the steak but. .. .. it aint woykin.

I wonder how many pairs of underwear Mark had to change here, looks like he's constantly jizzing in his pants, lol I've been here though, and that steak is extremely good, so I can somewhat understand.

I think in general, the Japanese do take their food seriously and with pride. And I thing their food is magazine, but the over exaggerating and over presentation is sometime turn me off.
