I didn't know that safran could be made into paste to turn the rice yellow. I always thought they used turmeric for that. That is the best kind of rice I know, I think I have had many different versions of this, often with carrots like in this video but also with some raisins. Amazing

I'am Cuban and I lived in Iran for nearly 10 years, and iranian food is awesome. Is right it takes plenty of time to elaborate but every spoon is worth to flavour it! Great job on your videos, I really miss iranian food, their people and culture. Afarin!

Persian kids raised on this food aren't picky because they are exposed to different herbs and smell. B. C has many Persian restaurants, especially in the cities. My family who are Chinese like to order Persian food takeout sometimes.

I have a Greek friend who has travelled throughout Europe and the Middle East. He said that out of -all- of the countries where he ate that Persian food was his favourite of them all. He said Persian food is absolutely delicious. -

tourists should know that iran has a free plan now that you would get your visa in air port and its period is 30 days--also the people who likes to saty for 5 years they should invest 250 000 USD, so they will get 5 years visa

Wow this was really interesting. I've always wondered where biryani originated. I can definitely see the similarity with the rice dish she made. The layering of the chicken and rice and sprinkle of saffron looked similar: )

it's so incredible as in it is similar to many majority Turkic, Indo-European, even for Arabic countries to have the utmost desire to eat the leftover food in bottom of the pot as in there is barakah all over it. amazing: )

We call it- bun bun- here in Trinidad; a colloliquial pronounciation of the word -burn-. I absolutely like it, especially when we make a one pot meal with chicken peas and rice and it sticks to the bottom. I

I'm just happy to see that Persian food is also eaten with a spoon and fork, along with Filipino food. It just came to me a couple years ago that the fork and knife is usually standard at a meal.
