How-To: Make a Dandelion and Burdock Shandy

London mixologist Missy Flynn brings us her take on a shandy, the classic lemonade and beer drink she remembers from childhood holidays to Skegness. In Missy-s shandy, lemonade gets swapped out for dandelion and burdock (a fermented soft drink similar to root beer) and mixed with Old Blue Last Beer. Add plenty of ice and garnish with edible flowers for instant seaside pub vibes, even in the depths of winter

You dont put the syrup in the shaker when it is still hot. You dont want the dilluation. Second, the syrup is thick and the beer is light and carbonated. By that it wont mix and you got a not wanted layer of of sweetness, sour and bitternes. Shaking would make way more sense if you would try to make a beer icetea since then you can actually mix the flavours by shaking instead of building them.

I couldn't stop thinking on the song Suck It and See by the Arctic monkeys. After watching this video many questions I had regarding that song finally found an answer
