Sugguestions: --Along with limiting access. To reduce over crowding-Place barriers between tables for 2 not 4, not boxed in just plexiglass removable dividers. They can be cleaned with windex an a sqweegie. then between the dining people at the tables unless they are married or share a common space together or are a family of more then families can dine together. -But if 2 casual or business dining partners wish to share a table. The restaurant can have disposable or more durable cleanable clear plastic vinyl trifold place cards the size of menus that can be placed between them so they can dine without a face mask. each person gets one and they face each other and clip together. on the top While people are dining placed by the table person as they set the table. -Again if your a family your table is just flanked with barriers no personal dining table dividers needed. -Table top dividers are only for casual dining of 2 people. -Diners and restaurants can even have the name of the restaurant printed on the side - because we care- or something. -It may not be 100% fool proof but are the same as common public face covering while dining to prevent the spread of the virus.

LOL. I wonder what these idiots will do when they (hopefully) eventually realize the shutdown was pointless. --Sweden never had a shutdown and no more deaths really than other countries like Spain and Italy that had total lock down for months. --Even if u buy into the numbers, if u check the total confirmed not suspected infected of -covid-19- and confirmed infected by regular seasonal flu and the % that dies of those confirmed its twice as many in % terms that dies from regular seasonal flu than from covid-19! But we never shut down the entire world for months and disrupt people lives and entire industries for season flu! --Also if you bother to investigate and not believe anything the media and WHO and governments tell you, you would see that during WW1 and the -Spanish - Flu epidemic, there was a massive study that proofed that viruses don't transfer from person to person, only way to get a virus externally is from an injection! --Doctors don't wear masks and gloves in operations to prevent virus transfer from them to the patient, its to prevent >>bacteria

The restaurant business will die as long as social distancing mitigation and restrictions continue to be imposed on them. Long lines, limited seating at 25%, masks in your face, throwing away menus after use, higher prices for food and a Covid19 fee to sustain these restrictions will result in loss of business and no customers. Going out to eat is supposed to be a pleasurable experience, not a restrictive, paranoia-inducing environment. This will go for all public venues -- theaters, retail stores, buildings. People who are not willing to take public risks should stay home and not go out. They can live off their government checks. Sick and elderly folks will need to be cared for. All of this is part of living life. If we can't get back to a normal lifestyle, we should remain shut down until it is deemed safe to reopen society.

I will point this out when people say eat local remember in some areas local businesses are racist and unprofessional af. I had one pizza place send my pizza to the wrong address and then took FOREVER to get them to understand the mix up and give me my pizza. Had another burn my chicken then have an attitude when I showed them my burned black fried chicken. Finally a local bbq place the employee practically threw my order at me then only put a lil smear of chicken salad on my sandwich(btw word in the small town streets its where the local alt right eat) along with other places locally i refuse to go bc of poor customer service. So yea in certain areas these places DESERVE to go out of business. not these guys these guys seem to be cool and professional. Just remember not all locales have places that deserve supporting.

Everybody is saying the same thing whether it's small buisnesses or large corporations: -The government needs to help everyone but we need it the most and we have to be the first to receive it. ----Where is the money supposed to be coming from if we try and support everyone? Loans you would have to pay back as soon as you can reopen? As if you would be able to afford that ontop of your monthly overhead. -Free money? Whilst the government is receiving less taxes than usual and with its expenses higher as well that would mean they'd have to print the money and thus inflation which is bad for us all. ---If your buisness cannot sustain a few weeks of reduced income and you are leveraged to make ends meet, then maybe it's not healthy enough to remain open.

Also I have a choice of thousands of restaurants and who is gona get my hard earned money. If you think you are gona charge 100- plus for 1 person for a small dinner on average and just give them good food and that's it. You are in for a rude awakening. Aka closed at best. Again I have thousands of places to choose from and i know that the best ones are gona stay around no matter what. And those are the only restaurants that deserve to live anyway. Its the end for all those who dont absolutely go out of the way to satisfy their customers.

If major companies received these loans and were required to spend 75% on payroll, are there regulations on the people who are paid? More times than none, high level executives are the ones getting paid and the average workers are left suffering. --Also, if they were to pay all of their employees, would it be more beneficial to have them receive loans than small business due to the number of employees? --I only ask because I've heard recently the funds have been depleted and are no longer available for many small businesses.

Not sure I follow where homeboy said -the restaurant industry is the backbone of America-. Like other places around the world see us and -go holy cow, America is the land of restaurants and if they start closing their country will collapse-. The housing market, auto industry, bank service, and construction/infrastructure/building trades are a little more recognized as the backbone of our country in my honest opinion. Just my thoughts on a truly trying time for all

everybody is going to end up working in an Amazon distribution center, or something equivalent. It may not be happy news, but places like sit-down restaurants and movie theatres are quickly becoming very obsolete. Take out and a flat screen TV linked to a pc or smart phone, or even cooking at home (like those easy to prepare meals that can get delivered) will take over. Its just more economical.

You are asking the wrong question and offering the wrong solution. The government should enforce any business that do business in america to not collect any rent or bill during the restriction. At the same time the government should be providing basic necessity like a limited amount of food and water and electricity just for survival. So anyone that splurge it will be out of their own pocket.
