Trifone Walter Ferrante is the maestro behind Bari Food Cart, a small operation he runs in Portland, OR that serves a delicacy from southern Italy: panzerotti. Walter s passion for food and hospitality started at a young age back in Italy and brought him to the states where he worked in many restaurants as a server. Once the idea came to make and serve panzerotti, hand-held fried turnovers that are known all around the city of Bari, he knew he had to make it happen. Walter s panzerotti are filled with the best ingredients he can find, like fresh mozzarella, house-made pesto, tomatoes, peppers, and much more. His passion and love for his customers have made his food cart a hit in Portland. javier: This aint no secret, I remember eating something similar in Puerto Rico back in the 80s Empanadilla de Pizza, they also make them with ground beef, corned beef, etc. and its fried as well.
