Tour the best Japanese street food w/ Sam the Cooking Guy as he explores Osaka & Dotonbori Street Fire_Punch: 17: 00 They're giving you a sour look because it's rude to stand in the middle of walking paths in Japan. You'll notice everyone else that's standing still has their back against the wall to allow traffic to flow. You're giving tips about not rubbing chopsticks but then you're standing and eating in the street while a family is forced to stand behind you while you get your shots. It's selfish and doesn't adhere to the culture at all. Over multiple videos, I get the vibe that you're a typical egotistical, entitled CEO that consistently makes a fool of himself and degrades the people that react to your poor behavior. If you're getting sour looks, get over yourself and imagine what you could be doing wrong. The places and things you do are cool but your personality actively detracts from the content. Anyone with money could do what you do and with a lot better personality and behavior. Last video I'm watching.

I love you Sam but I gotta say. this video was cringing to watch. Part of the reason why Americans have a bad reputation across the world is a lack of respect and awareness for other countries. We go to other countries with a since of entitlement and expectations to for things to be adjusted for our own comfort level. We love Sam just the way he is with his raw since of humour. I get a kick out of it every time. However, this time around a lot things stood out to me. Im getting ready to travel to Japan un the spring for school and I have been doing a lot of research about the Japanese and their culture. Ive found that the Japanese are very particular when it comes to public behavior. I wonder how the Japanese ppl who encountered Sam felt while he was shooting? Sam: Im working here! Osaka local: crazy AmericansAnyone else wants to comment on this topic?

TO BE COMPLETELY FAIR: you guys are on public property in the middle of a massive crowd, filming, expecting them to believe your business is more important than theres. I COMPLETELY get where youre coming from Sam, a little bit of politeness goes an incredibly long way. But many of those people may live in the city, or have been walking around for a long time and are tired. Its an attraction for you, but its gone for them. They wont necessarily be as giddy as you are. Like if someone were to come into your cooking set and totally freaked out, but to you its like your second home. You know the ins and out. Plus, language barriers arent your friend. Anyway, not trying to be rude at all, just observing. I loved this video and would try all of these places if I could. Im not an octopus guy but Ive wanted to try takoyaki for a long time

I LOVE literally all your videos, though this is the only one that make me sort of cringe and I actually got annoyed at one point. You cant be angry at them for getting in your way. And the way you kept saying god im working here - they dont see it like that. Ive been all over japan, osaka included, and i can say with confidence that you would have just been seen as a random giant white guy with an unnecessary camera man. Not someone whos hard at work. You were super inconvenient and in the way. Pls for the love of respect next time you go take the time to find a quiet spot, purchase all your fun little foods then take them to your spot to eat and talk out of everyones way. I mean, ramen excluded. Most things come in a box. But anyway, incredible film quality and your audio is insane, keep up the good work!

Hey dude I'm working here Really? First off, you're not working, you're just acting like an obnoxious tourist talking shit because the locals probably don't understand English while your son does the real work for your videos and secondly those two men are the ones actually doing real labor. Sam stop acting all high and mighty like anyone in Japan should be giving you top tier service just because you're a foreigner and thinking that everyone around should be considerate of staying out of your shot just because you're standing in front of a camera. God, boomers like you should not be allowed anywhere near to the kind people of Japan.

I like how so many people who have probably never left the USA are commenting about how rude you're being. Give me a break. You're a tourist. As if asian tourists have never been known for bumbling around big USA tourist spots with cameras, taking pictures and videos and generally being in the way. Most people are understanding, and Japanese will not respond the way Americans will. It's not that they're pissed. They're just more reserved. But ironically, they have no personal space and will elbow people out of the way and cram into busy areas like train stations, etc. Calm down everyone. No one is pissed here.

yea I was gonna sub til I saw how disrespectful you were being to the Japanese ppl by recording in the middle of the street when busy and complaining ppl were sour about it. It's been said many many MANY times you go off to the side out of respect to conduct your business so the main flow can get through, this is why Japan is annoyed with foreigners because we do the same there as we do at our home country when in fact your in THEIR country and you should respect them. Enjoy your 1 million subs, not that it will matter period but here's one less subbing.

12: 10 - Tone down the rude attitude a little bud. You are the one in the way; filming a video, while eating, in the middle of a busy walkway. Not to mention you're a visitor in their country. Pull off to the side and do your thing, people shouldn't have to be inconvenienced because his holiness is eating a crab leg. It's your responsibility as a tourist to show a little respect to the country that's allowing you to come experience their culture. Especially somewhere like Japan where they take genuine pride in making sure tourists have a good time.

People that said you shouldn't be standing in the middle of a walkway, every time you do it, I see other Japanese people standing in the middle of the walkway, so. I don't see other people eating but based on the other faulty social etiquette arguments, I'll just assume eating on the walkway is fine too. And if it's not fine to eat on the walkway, maybe that's an indictment on the prudishness of Japanese culture more-so than it is on Sam's character, frankly. It can't really be called street food if you can't eat it on the street.

I bet you, those are Chinese tourists in Osaka, pushing and being generally ignorant. The communists are all over Japan devouring seafood and generally being obnoxious. They are miserable and have no manners, let alone smile to strangers. The worst thing to happen to nations, is allow these commies into the World to devour resources, food and push everyone around with their fake wealth, without first having got rid of their communist mentality. Nice vid by the way - I would have said the same about the behaviour during filming also!
