Make Chick-Fil-As fried chicken sandwich home w/ this recipe that's WAY better than the original! Steve: Hello Sir, first off thank you for all your amazingly beautiful presentation of foods we all love, your intelligence and witI want to ask about that circular cooking item, never saw that before, so i want to weigh in on pickles so I am was raised jewish secular, and food was probably my only cultural as opposed to religious influence, anyway from 1970 atr wetsons ( a hamburger chain ) east coast? from them to Mcdonalds, to anywhere in the universe if there was /were pickles near any sandwich, but esp burgers, I made sure ( with religious fervor) to remove themhere comes the puncg line, I just recently began to appreciate pickles ( not sweet) with all those heretofore foods

Sam I like you, and I like your videos, but your sandwich at least to my eyes looks like poor attempt at making a better chick a fila sandwich, and also it seems like you didnt really understand what you were trying to recreate, for instance you didnt know that the chick a fila sandwich doesnt come with sauce on it, you didnt cut the breasts in half, and your crust was way off because you used buttermilk, and also didnt use yellow mustard in your wash either, so you essentially you didnt make a better chick a fila sandwich you just made a fried chicken sandwich

I work at CFA and I can tell you that the sandwich just comes with the pickles, filet, and the toasted buns. You can ask for dipping sauces such as CFA sauce or Polynesian. The pickles were probably poorly displaced but also the pickles do move on the sandwich when it gets put in the bag due to it being placed sideways and also just moved around. I don't really care honestly I'm just commenting because this is one of my forms of communication with this social distancing.

love your videos/show. you're the only chef I can say that has only used a stove top or a grill, which I only have access to living in this studio apartment and I appreciate that because you have given me a bunch of ideas. I discovered you when I was looking to make home fries without frying them in a deep fryer and I came across your video. I have been following you ever since. Thank you Sam the cooking guy, :. awesome stuff.

Who ever went to Chick-Fil-A and picked up your sandwich Fd up. Your offered sauces at the time of check out, if you want them. The classic sandwich is so good and tasty, not dry. It just needs some mayo, which you add yourself. If you want lettuce and tomato you get the Deluxe, that one you can compare to Popeyes, which I had for the first time and it had no flavor. Im not sure why everyone is lining up for at Popeyes.

I love Sam and everything but I feel like he should do some research on the sandwiches he tries to recreates. Like Chick-fil-As sandwiches do not come with sauce and they also sit the chicken in pickle juice before breading. And I feel like Im seen other episodes where he doesnt really know what hes supposed to be making or not making it right

They dont come with any sauce. I always get the spicy chicken and add a mayo and their hot sauce packet. I was like you the first time I had one, I wasnt blown away. But the more I had them (due to having young kids) the more I really became addicted to them. As far as dry, that is definitely an outlier. They are normally very juicy.

Sam, i feel sorry for you. I live in Atlanta (the home of CFA) and here's the deal. No sauce is standard. Pickles are to offset the sweetness (I think they use Honey in some fashion. 99% of the time, they are tender and JUICY. My guess is you got the 1 hour old version - really what the big deal is - is the slightly sweet chicken.

Ok clearly you had a bad attitude going into this but its pretty common knowledge that a Chick-fil-A sandwich comes with 2 pickles and no sauce. Thats how they do it. Also, if youre going to judge any good place, its best not to take it to-go to steam in a foil package for a while before eating. Eat it fresh.

According to the website, standard Chick-fil-A sandwich only gets butter on the bun and pickles. Deluxe version gets lettuce, tomato, and cheese as well. I checked the other sandwiches and all of them come without sauce except the grilled chicken, and they don't get Chick-fil-A sauce on it
