Quarantine/Lockdown Cooking continues with more munchies! It's time to use up those potatoes. Tallulah: We watched all your quarintine videos thus far! Plus several others. Just saw a news report about the stresses and strains of self isolation. It reported that people are going crazy from being in lock down! It was strange, actually, because I had just been talking about this with the microwave and toaster and all of us agreed that things are getting bad. I didn't mention anything to the washing machine as she always has to put a different spin on everything, and certainly not to the fridge as he is acting cold and distant. In the end the iron calmed me down. She said everything will be fine, which surprised me because shes usually the first one to apply unnecessary pressure and get steamed up over nothing!

I'm going to build myself a flat-top. I'm gonna use galvanized steel fence posts and Steeltek fittings for the frame, a sheet of 2mm thick stainless steel, and some custom made burners to go under it. There will be three burners, and they'll be made from stainless tubing with lateral slits cut in them every half-inch down the length of each tube. The burners will connect to a fuel rail with a valve for each burner, and the rail will be fed by a propane tank, or a natural gas hookup.

One of my favorite things to add to a potato soup is Gruyere cheese. Smoked Gouda was another good one. Appreciate the episode. I have to brave the store tomorrow, is kind of a high risk with some health issues and AZ not doing anything as a mandatory close yet. (well schools, but only limiting parks and stuff) I need to try some of these for sure. and make some of my potato leek soup. Maybe. it is supposed to be 87F (about 30C if I did my math right) tomorrow as well.

80 for a freaking cooking knife with ur name on it! I'm sorry but that is clearly highway robbery. Maybe if it was chef Gordon Ramsey but even that's a stretch. I'd pay maybe half that at most for a cooking knife. Otherwise for 80 I'd just go to the store and get an entire sweet azz set. There's some really good sets on Amazon, or even on eBay from China. I can get that same knife on ebay from China for like 80. YIN! That's like 10 bucks in usd

My man, Sam the Cooking Guys inspired mash potato quesadillas. Smoked Pulled pork with Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese. Pulled pork crisped up on a cast iron pan with some soy sauce and Sriracha. Paired with a sriracha-sour cream ranch dipping sauce! Garnished with Lime, Cilantro, and little Curley Parsley. Beer Pair: a Mikkeller double IPA. DOUBLE DANG Yall! #museumofbeer #samthecookingguy #quarantinemunchies twonridenhour

this was really a terrific video on some great recipes and ideas during a time that is taxing my creativity on meal prep. thanks. doing potato soup for tomorrow and twice baked spuds for tonight. am trying to prep. ingredients for several dishes too. bacon already done. have some lamb/pork stock for soup. add some leftover chicken and lamb and I know this will be a spouse pleaser. thanks.

SUGGESTION FOR OTHERS: It was pretty tasty and simple to make the soup. The only suggestion I have is that in the video he only used 2 potatoes that appeared to be of average size, we used 3. His pot looks like he's got plenty of potatoes, and we could have easily added probably 3 more at least to make it feel like potato soup. Only suggestion!

Can you stop calling it quarantine lockdown whatever. People want to get away from this shit and you just remind us again we're in the midst of this pandemic. We want to forget even just for a little while. If I want constant pushing in my face about this drama I'll just tune in to corporate media. Just cook food man stop trying to sell us.
