It doesn't get much better than this - a tour of the best Korean food in Seoul - perhaps in all of South Korea! I have been fortunate enough to travel to Seoul. I enjoyed every meal from the 13 course meal I had on our last night to the KBBQ and street food we enjoyed during our visit. I am lucky to find some of it here in Ann Arbor Michigan here and there, but your video makes me want to make the trip back again. What an amazing city!

18: 33 The noodle dish is kalguksu. The name name of the place is Myeongdong Gyoza - gyoza like the fried dumpling - but they re famous for their noodles and the only dumplings they serve are steamed. But a lot of locals just refer to it as Myeondong Kalguksu. I used to go to this place at least once a month the 7 years I lived there. The first time I tried it was on my first date with my wife.

How was that blood sausage? Bet it was awesome! Being a coon-ass from south Louisiana boudin rouge was a staple at the dinner table. Also that hard boiled egg in that tabletop dish looked awesome too. Cajun gumbos have boiled eggs in them too. amazing how they taste after being immersed and soaking up all that flavor.
Great episode! Excellent production Chance! Looks like y all had a great trip

Excellent Sam and Company! Ive heard nothing but great things about Seoul SK food wise! So glad you showed us around, they certainly know food! Just wow, and couldnt agree more with a place that has less items on the menu so you know you cant go wrong with any of them. Cheers!

Come to Mesquite Creek Outfitters in Georgetown, TX! It s a wine/beer bar with clothes and you can bring your own food. They have a couple appetizers there and sometimes some food trucks but you can get food delivered or bring your own if you want.

As someone who lived in SK for 6 months. It s been a couple years since and it s killing me to watch all the food that I ve missed! My top favorites I would have added if you had time: Dakgalbi & gamjatang. Loved this video!

Would love it if you could talk about the bewildering amount of condiments that seem to accompany Korean dishes (at least where I live. After watching your videos, I SO want to travel to Korea and Singapore now!

I laughed so hard when you said don't come to Korea and go to Wendy's. In 1989. My husband and I went to Seoul for a convention and had Wendy's the first night. To our surprise, the hamburger was horse meat.

When were you guys there? I was just there again with friends at the end of October. The market was so busy when we were there, we basically couldn't even find a place to sit to enjoy anything.

As a second gen Korean immigrant to the US. I was amazed by how little Korean food actually gets represented outside of KBBQ. Its super cheap and super diverse. All of it is so tasty.

I really enjoyed this video. I saw the first one and enjoyed that as well. The food looks amazing. The people of Seoul are amazing. Having Chance eat pork head (cheek) was great.

Ahhh, I loved Korean street food. Yaki Mandu was my favorite. But the clouds of Kimchi breath you would walk into as you walked down the street was just a bit too much.

Oh good lord. the pronunciation is killing me. I respect the effort, but your translators seem like they're not even trying. =P I hope my people treated you well Sam.

There should be more than one episode! And btw you should have tried the rotisserie chicken place. Mark Wiens ate there in his latest Korea video and was floored!

Quick question: are you guys frequently returning to Korea, or did you just bank a whole buncha videos to show us when we need to see some deliciousness?
reply

Love that you dont care where you at and still just grab random paper towels and just use the whole role to wipe your mouth than just set back down.

Wow, what an amazing journey! Your guides should be prepared for a bunch more of us to come and be shown the ins and outs of Seoul s cuisine!
