How I Care for New Succulents Garden Answer Dan: I have an unknown type of haworthia, tiger aloe, and candelabra aloe growing indoors. When I water them, I typically drench them all the way through until water comes rushing out of the bottom. I let it completely dry out. I test this by touching top and bottom through the drain hole. Only if it's dry all the way through do I water again. It's easier for me to monitor the amount of water the plants are getting. This can stretch out time between waterings to a month during the summer and typically much longer in the winter.

Im just learning about succulents from you in these videos. You make it so interesting and fun. Ive planted two succulent planters and Im curiously watching how they grow. I would love to win the $100 certificate for purchasing more succulents. Id like to get some small cute planters to put individual plants in and give as a gift for a friends birthday or just for thinking of them. I think a living gift is a perfect gift that will keep on giving.

I took all my succulent baskets down to my basement in November, put them all on a table under a led shop light, never watered once for the entire 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 months. They were shriveled a bit by the time I brought them up last week to repot new baskets, but all alive. I have since potted them all in their new baskets and they all plumped up, look beautiful, and they are all heading back outside tomorrow for the summer.

I just received a shipment of succulents and they were in the box going back and forth between the UPS center and I was conserved that they may not have made the this long back and forth trip but they appear to be alright. I was glad to watch your video. Now I am going to unpack them and clean them up and give them a little bit of water. Thank you for the help and I love to watch your videos. And

I usually keep an eye on the leaves and if they start to shriffle I know it's time to water. Usually during the hot summer months I water them around every 2 weeks but in the autumn and winter around once a month. The air in the Netherlands is pretty humid so maybe that has to so something with why my succulents don't need lots of water.

Your videos are not showing the date they were made. or atleast I'm not seeing it. So I'm not sure if these giveaways are current or not. Lol.
making me bonkers. Hey Aaron, techy hubby. add the dates to the captions so I know where I'm at in the sequence. Or please tell me how to see that if you already did.

Hi The above links for tools, soil, and succulents go to a site for home health care kits. I was looking for the big syringe but will just check on Amazon. I'm new to succulents - my daughter-in-law got me hooked - and your videos are so helpful and informative. Thank you!

Love your videos. Also, I found an app called PictureThis and you can actually take the picture & it will tell you all about that cactus or succulent. It will tell you how to take care of it too. As a newbie, I can use all the help I can get!

Can you tell me what the small round cactus looking plant is called, the one with the white long rooty looking things on it? I think I have one that came in an arrangement but I don't know what it is or how to care for it.
