Tackling a few projects in the garden! Garden Answer Dars: Our weather in Northern Cali feels like Spring. I even went and looked at the nursery to see what's available yesterday. I am so ready to plant and see more color around our place. Plus looking around at what has bloomed this is our second spring in our home and i love that the original owner had a decent garden. Now keeping track of what and where to add bulbs since last year i relocated a bunch. Thanks for inspiration and motivation happy Saturday

Oh Russell you are so helpful padding around in the garden! Your cast is best both for CONTENT. And cuz your personality is clearly really you! I enjoy walking your garden and greenhouse with you nd kitty
Have fun with that baby - just so you know even though you can't imagine him getting older it gets better and better watching him develop into a child then an adult
Also you DO get payback for every kiss and cuddle now!

I think everyone who lives in parts of Oregon and California think it's spring already. but spring isn't until March 20th. Hopefully a late winter cold spell isn't going to hit us this year. I'm in California and when I'm outside working in one of my gardens I marvel at what a lovely spring day it is. it isn't yet, I keep telling myself. HaHa

Don't you just love getting your hands in the dirt! I agree with another viewer to show that sweet little Benjamin somewhere in your video. It is always neat to see Russel also. I am glad your so upbeat. After the birth of my first son, I suffered with postpartum depression so bad. Second son, did not happen. Love to you and yours!

Still think the Black mulch would have worked best against the color of your home and grey cement surrounding the bed. I only use black mulch since you said it was a great way to contrast the plants. I agree and now all my beds have the black much and it looks beautiful. Thank you for that tip, BTW.

i'm living vicariously through you, we (here in Long Island, NY) are getting a lot of rain (which i am grateful for because of all the new trees i planted last spring & fall) but have a chimney leak: ( your video inspires me for the big spring clean up i hope will happen soon!

What are the plants that you are cleaning out at 11: 31? I think its what you mentioned, the Sweet Woodruff, but I am not sure I heard it right. I just moved and starting my garden, and found a bunch of those growing around. I would love to know what they are! :)

Could you please do a video on how to properly clean out your flower beds? Maybe in preparation for spring. I've never gardened but have dreams too. That do we do with the old plants? trash them? Should I just use my hands to scrape out the dead leaves?

Nice video! I have a question about watering pansies that are in containers outside. if they are dry but temps are close to freezing is it better to wait to water them? Also should I soak the container or just get the root ball wet?

What fun to have a refreshing late winter day to work and enjoy outdoors! We still have a bit of snow or sleet coming down at this point here in Sandy, Boring area. Always fun to see the chores and small projects you do like these!
