Amazing Transformation After Spraying for Budworms! Garden Answer Lori: Hello Laura! Quick question? I've looked online as I want to use this for my bud worm issues however I have bunnies whom free roam and occasionally eat or nibble green leaves on plants, grass etc- they eat so little they don't damage my plants - but insects bud worms etc are nightmare! You say it's naturally occurring therefore would it be safe around buns? I've looked for hours online since the last time you mentioned this product and there is zero info- I am hopeful you'll have an answer! Or perhaps one of your amazing followers, xoxox LC

I just found bud worms on my purple passion plant! No flowers on this plant but they were really going to town on the foliage! I picked them off and discarded them, there were only six or seven on a small plant. Checked it this morning and found nothing, so I'm hoping that will do the trick! If not for your knowledge on all things plant related I would not have known what was going on. Thanks so much for the info, and thanks for showing a shot of the bud worm, that was the confirming factor for me!

Laura or any other expert on here. Is BT with spinosad more effective in your experience than just using BT? Ive been using BT but I dont know if its because of all the rain weve had this season which is so unusual for us, but I feel as though Ive been fighting bud worm and bag worm with a vengeance this summer and its still a neck and neck battle. (In Northeastern KS)
PS I do have dogs, hummingbirds and others I invite to my yard so I do not want to harm them.

Question Laura.
does this spray help with aphids as well? my supertunias & super bells were doing great all year and just in the last 2 weeks i noticed budworms & aphids!
i thought you had a video regarding aphid control (what to spray) but can't find it now. i usually just squish my aphids & wash them off with a hose, but that method is mashing my superbells too much.
any help is appreciated!
ps: hello from Boise Idaho!

This video was super helpful! Budworms are eathing their way through my big basket of calibrachoa. I just picked off about 20 of them and threw them to the birds for a snack. Have ordered the spray but it won't be here for a few more days. So till then, I'm on Spot and Kill duty. Thanks again for the info. I really didn't know how to deal with this!

WOW! I mean. just. WOW. What a recovery. I wouldn't have thought it was possible. I'm SO GLAD you did the follow up inside this video instead of posting a separate one 10 days later. I've tried to stop being amazed at how much you teach us and just take it as the norm, but. WOW! BTW. MY SHIRT AND MUG ARRIVED TODAY. so happy!

Wow! What an amazing transformation. It's amazing such a little thing can make or break such a beautiful arrangement! I will definitely be on the lookout for these little guys to be on my plants. Thanks for the great tips and inspiration to keep on trucking through the later parts of the blooming season.

I gave up on petunias this year due to the worms and saw all the ones you plant and wondered how you didn't have trouble with the worms. Now I will try them again next year knowing about this spray to control the worms. I think they were also in my snapdragons too, I will be buying this spray now.

I would love to see more of these Bordeaux petunias in the future like a lot more, especially around the Hartley. And I like the idea of the floors spilling out as u mentioned in a recent video (early November 2021) my parents had that and its not something you see often, but very striking IMO.
