Perennial Shade Container Garden Answer Angel: Could all of these plants be left in their containers for multiple years? I have a 35 foot long and 2 foot wide full shade strip that sits between a fence and the concrete that makes up my covered carport/porch area. 15 feet of it will get a few hours of afternoon sun and the rest will be no direct sunlight. And I cannot for the life of me plant anything in containers that will last. hostas do ok and thats it. its a frustrating area and I just dont know how to properly line it with attractive plants that will last like the ones lining your beautiful driveway.

I can't wait to start planting up my containers. Even though it was too cold here last week, I just had to buy ($144 worth of) plants. They've been kept cozy in my portable greenhouse in the garage (also known as a car. Yesterday, I released them to start getting used to real sun. So pretty just in the boxes, they'll look even better once placed in their homes for the summer. There's a flowering sage that's so pretty. I think it's called Snow White, but it's blue.

like the way you explain with details the drip system or drip tubing connected to the system. I wish you can add the names of the tubes and the metters, I am confussed. I have a lot of roses, azaleas, hydrangeas, nepetas, hostas. I wish I can connect from the hose an automatic system. Please keeps explainning with details, I really appreciated when you do that. Thank you

Looks really good! I planted a window box with a hostas, two hookahrahs, and creeping Jenny. It was so stunning last year but so far only the hosta is coming up? Do the other two come in later or should I just replace it out? Love your videos!

Heucheras were never really a plant I was drawn to, but after watching your videos I now have two in my garden and bought two for my mother in-laws garden. We love them. Thank you so much for the inspiration. Beautiful arrangement.

Beautiful pot! Great idea, using perennials on a temporary basis in a lot, and then integrating them into their permanent spot! Establishing firm root system while enjoying their beauty with a mobile pot, just love it!

My garden has no foundation plants such as evergreens. What do you recommend besides arborvitae? Could you please do a vid on how to get the foundation plants to then be able to build a garden around them.

How could I not know about Goldilocks Creeping Jenny? Thank you. I'm going to use it this season in two containers (my first real containers: o, and maybe in the front of a shade border I'm starting. Yay!

I absolutely love your style I did ask in a previous video if you keep your terra cotta pots out all winter, Ive noticed that mine seem to suffer some damage filled or emptied out and turned upside down?
