Love this! I can't wait to redesign the flower beds around my chicken run, what I had was nice in the beginning to predator proof and get rid of mud but I am super over it and ready to do something I will love.
Our whole run and coop are being rebuilt, the dying pine tree next to the run is coming down and then I will have free rein for creating beautiful flower beds.
Can't wait!

OK, I'll admit, I've watched this same video three (3) times. I'm just so amazed at your energy, how well everything looks, I'm wandering also, what did you have for breakfast, how I'd love to have just half your energy. Everything always looks amazing. I want to start my flower bed around a tree, I live in Asheville, NC and the dirt is red, do I mix the compose, conditioner and fertilizer with the native dirt on my flower bed? I appreciate any help, this is the first time Im doing any garden work, you have inspired me!

Love love love this vidoe! I have so many very grown up old flower beds with hard soil because we bought a house with an old weeding garden and I hope to get it up and running. Thanks so much for showing what you use to for your soil!

Chickens need grass to eat and other green stuff.
It is beautiful but not practical. Where is food is growing.
It is sort of slavery, working all your time for that beauty. Food forest is beautiful too, but practical.

Im afraid your chicken coop may need something around the bottom to ward off predators, unless that was in a video I didnt see. I belong to a lot of chicken pages and it is amazing how many chickens are lost to predators.

How do you maintain weed control in the beds and also all the gravel in your driveway? We have a lot of gravel drive and the weeds are a bear every year but especially this year with constant rain in the Midwest.
