Trying Out New Superbells & Caladiums! Garden Answer Jalila: I live in Houston Texas zone 9a ( I know the tag says hardy in zone 10) and these are definitely a perennial you actually can't get rid of it lol
it multiplies every year.
this year we had a bad freeze (Texas freeze) and we lost a lot of our shrubs that are hardy in my area but didn't lose my caladiums.
they die to the ground after a frost and come back in mid to late spring

Hi, Laura. Love your videos. I bought some caladiums at the end of the season and have them as house plants with intentions of putting them in the landscape in the late spring. Do they need a dormant period? If so, should I cut them back and store them? What is the dormancy time? Thank you.

Hi. Can I bring in my Caladiums from the garden to the house. Right now my Caladiums are tall but flopping from the very cool nights. Would I cut off the stems and hopefully see new growth.
Thanks for your time. Love your videos

I really like this video, and love the colors and shapes of these plants, but, the caladiums are poisonous to cats. Please make sure that you tell your viewers when plants/flowers are poisonous to animals.

In the Philippines, some caladium varities just grow anywhere in the fields so I shrug it off. But look, you made it shine. I will use them as indoor plants soon. Thnx for this video.

I would love to learn how to dig up the caladiums from the pots or landscape and overwinter the bulbs. Are the bulbs like Canna's, where they will multiply if given the space?

Hi, I love watching your videos, you could activate the subtitles in Spanish, since I would like to know what you explain, if I read it, it's easier, thanks
