Planting a Thundercloud Plum Tree! Garden Answer Paula: We have a weeping cherry tree that has reached its life span & am wondering if it would be ok to plant a new tree in the same spot once we have to take it down. The tree really anchors our entire neighborhood as it at the very end corner. It has always put on such a show in the spring. It will look VERY bare when we take it out, & my flowerbed beneath it is full of beautiful shade-loving plants! We will be so sad to see it go!

Quick question about the BioTone: Do you always eyeball and dump it into the bottom of the hole or do you recommend measuring and mixing in throughout backfill soil? I started using it after watching your videos, but have mixed it in a wheelbarrow of existing soil and some bagged garden soil. Thanks for all of the great content!

Hi, first time commenting but have enjoyed your videos for a long time. Thank you for your work! I live in Michigan and just this year put drip irrigation in my garden beds. You inspired me! Are you going to show us any fall maintenance that needs to happen before winter? Do you blow out your irrigation tubing somehow?

I now have to clean my glass table. I sprayed it trying to get a drink of DP when you called your babies freeloaders. OMG!
My Dr. Pepper didn't stand a chance! That will be a beautiful tree. I love that you moved it forward a little, that was a great idea. Well done to all of you, even Russell who supervised.

Love, love, love that Sweet Autumn clem. I'm glad you moved the tree, the clematis won't be overshadowed so much by it. Looks like it will still get tons of son. And, I'm sure you know, but- egg production decreases with the shorter days. Will increase again in spring.

Together you are an amazing team.
We don't have Espona (sp) fertilizer in Canada. What would be similar to Bio-tone? We have a green ash that is slowly being taken over by the ash borer beetle so we are starting to plan for a future replacement tree.

Looks like Fall has settled nicely where you guys are. Here in Indiana it is in the 90s! Ugh!
I love the purple trees! My local nursery only offers the Canada Red Chokecherry. I will definitely suggest the Thundercloud Plum!

I love the fact that this tree also flowers in the spring. I've been looking to buy it but places like Lowe's and the like won't have any trees until late September. Did you order directly from Monrovia, and what height is this tree?

Youre an AD! I was just watching a Succulents and Sunshine video and you popped up as an ad. Of course, I had to watch the whole 6 minute ad even though I had already watched the video of you planting all the hostas already.

'A three hour ordeal' haha! I really like this video, I have a space about this size ready to plant up and I'm still looking at ideas but really wanted to include a tree. This plum looks gorgeous!
