Planting Invincibelle Ruby Hydrangea Garden Answer norarodriguez12: Hello Laura. I have a question/video suggestion (maybe)/scream for help to you. How to transition our gardens from summer to fall and winter? Irrigation system, plants, fertilizer, etc. Im from Spain, from Salamanca (Midwest zone/dry and cold) I have a community project in hands to creat a communal garden in a small town and we have just big trees, we have to develop all flower beds and as we are entering to fall, I'm kinda lost with the type of plants we should focus now and how to manage the irrigation system now that the days are less and less warm. This area in winter has temperatures around -10 Celsius, not a tons of snow but hard frozen nights. I deeply appreciate your advice here. Thank you for the content you create with your family, you are an inspiration for us and this communal garden project. Kisses from Spain.

These are so pretty: ) when you plant your soil always looks so rich. When you shovel your soil it always looks so easy. My soil is not like that. should I take away the top couple if inches and mix in planting soil with a manure? If I do that do I still need to add Bio tone? Im here in Magalia, Calif. (Campfire) we have not one nursery here or in Paradise. Chico has Home Depot and Lowes unfortunately their nursery people dont have the knowledge. I always noticed when you were planting your hydrangeas. did you plant them low in the ground? Benjamin is a very cute helper: ) thank you answering our questions in your videos it really helps: ) I love the start of you videos with your drone its so cool: )

Has anyone had success growing hydrangeas in texas where it gets in the 100s for weeks? I had some little limes in mostly full sun and by mid summer they all dried up and died I thought they could take sun but maybe not west texas sun. I have some others (blue/purple) in a mostly shaded spot and they are doing okay and growing new leaves.
I love the proven winners hydrangeas but Im afraid that they will all die. My yard right now is mostly full sun, working on planting shade trees

Hi Laura, Aaron and Benjamin! Aaron, the drone shot was exceptional, thank you! I love the color of the Invincibelle Ruby Smooth Hydrangea. I keep thinking how pretty they would be with the Limelight Hydrangeas. If they are the same size, planted in a row, side by side, if they are shorter, planted in front. Also, if they have the same bloom times, or very similar, that would be so beautiful! Love lime green and pinks/purples together. Thank you for sharing!

You mentioned that you fertilize weekly. I got the bi annual fertilizer that you suggested and I cant remember what its called but would like to know also the weekly fertilizer that you use. Yesterday, thanks to your influence, I did my first foliage arrangement. I rescued two Rex begonias on the buy me Im dying table and two caladiums as well. The colors just go beautifully together and the textures are a delight.

The way you cut the lilac did wonders for this area, the limbs exposed are now a standout focal point, and with the new hydrangeas its just so pleasing to the eye! I love that the areal view at the beginning zooms in to where you are, which gives us great perspective. PS thank you for answering that last hydrangea question at the end, which is something I was wondering!

Aaron, love the drone shots at the beginning. So lovely.
I have lilacs that are messy with shoots as well. I've trimmed it down and they've regrown so I'm going to use landscape fabric around the roots to see if that works. I adore hydrangeas and have many now. It was you that introduced them to me, so thank you for that: )

I love how you always say heuchera. In the south, we say coral bells. I have huge oak trees on one side of my yard, and I have the heuchera in bed under the trees. Other people have mounds of green ferns or blue hostas, but I have poofs of coral bell color. Coral bells are my fav shade plant.
