I know you planted lots of Maple Trees but have you considered planting the Crimson King Norway Maple? We have alot of them here in Northern Ontario Canada and they are one of the most perfect trees. they grow on very strong trunks, have a really great shape without any pruning, their leaves are a deep purple all season until they turn a bright beautiful red in fall and their leaves fall off all at once (which I know you like Laura)

I almost feel off my chair when you admired the hackberry tree. I hope this doesn't hurt anyone's feelings but we, in Kansas, call that a junk tree. Yes, it has interesting bark, sort of, and it does grow fast. However, come fall the smallish abundant leaves turn brown and fall off. No fall interest and no winter interest. Different to grow grass because of the dense canopy and some above ground roots. Steer clear, Laura, steer clear.

This video made me laugh. You were running around the tree lot so excited like it was Christmas morning. Aaron was clearly not as excited about triple trunk trees as you were but this is what a date day is for a married couple. Then you see these long stretches of drone footage which you know Aaron is running around doing that like its Christmas morning! Then inside Aaron comments on how gorgeous the planter is. Made me laugh.

I am currently in Massachusetts. I went to a huge beautiful garden center here in the town I'm in. I actually bought an artillery plant today, so when you stopped and looked at that in this video I knew I'd done well. I'm excited to see this as it grows. I always watch you before I go to sleep, as you relax me after a long night of working. Plus you give me good things to dream about. Thanks for another great video!

Well the deodar cedars are zone 7 or 8 so makes sense they dont do well. Hackberry has nice bark, but I dont know about where you are being so dry but they are a messy and weedy tree and are aggressive rooting, well I suppose if its replacing a willow it wont be much difference as willow are super aggressive rooting as well. They are not a good yard/lawn tree though

Great show and the fly-over was so nice to see the color differences of the trees! We all get a false spring because the HAARP are sending pressure waves to keep winter rainfall away from California in order to create a drought and fire starting hazard for this summer. Research. Do your green house side walls retract automatically if the temperature get too high?

My kind of date day ( although my husband might not agree) but, omg this is perfect timing! We just had about 30 oaks and pines cleared from the front of our property and Im looking to plant some evergreens and small trees this spring, a whole new look. Thank you, youve definitely given me some food for thought. Cant wait to visit some tree farms.

Hi Laura and Aaron! What a fun day date for you both. The plants you picked up are really pretty. I hope you'll keep us updated on the Calathea Musaica you got your Mom. I've always wanted one, but heard all Calatheas are divas. LOL! Thank you so much for sharing your day with us!
