Oh I love looking back on your plants, Such an enjoyable video. One thing I wanted to ask. When you are setting up drip for your flowers and your beds, how do you know how long and how many times a week to water them? I haven't done it yet, but I swear this next spring I am going to do that. We had a big trip planned with my son last year and it would have been so nice not to worry over my flowers. We came home and they looked like we were gone three weeks instead of one. I hate when that happens. You never know when you are going to have a hot and dry week here in West Virginia.

This is so helpful- I have many containers and hanging baskets and little money so having to replace plants that will not thrive for an entire season will not work for me Zone 5B Northwest Indiana (long cold wet Springs - short Summers - and Fall may or may not come in often just goes straight to Winter)-I am doing purple and white for 2020 and the White Knight Alyssum will to riding to my rescue next year- and the Chocolate drop coleus as well- these are beast plants- the tip for me -use fewer plants that make big statements

Wish you would do a. tour of your greenhouse and grow light room to show the annuals and tender perennials you are overwintering in those places.
I live in a small condo but am trying to overwinter the lemon coral sedum (I learned about that from you) and the cerveza 'n lime plectranthus that did great in my pots on roof this year.
Hoping I can get them to survive so I can use them again next spring/summer/fall. Keep sharing, love learning all the tips from you to use in my 13 containers on roof deck.

I live in the Netherlands and there is only 1 ) company that can supply Proven Winner plants, and only about 15 varieties. I am very very disappointed that I can't buy the Proven Winner plants that I want, like Superbells and Supertunias, and some more. And when I look in garden centers here they don't have many plants from Proven Winners either, now much at all. I have asked Proven Winners USA but they only refer to the EU website and can't help me. So what can I do to get the plants I want?

Just throwing in another perspective here. I often plant coleus, African Daisy, licorice plants, vistas, and many other plants that will take over a container if left unchecked. Its so easy to just hack them back into proportion in the middle of the growing season and they recover very quickly. Dont be afraid to plant some of the more aggressive annuals! Just trim them back. Super simple to keep your multi-plant container designs looking great.

I love your videos and I get a lot of ideas from them. I am short on time during the planting season and Im just beginning to develop my flower beds. I was wondering if you had to deadhead a lot of these annuals you mention in both pt 1 and pt 2? You also mention trimming up some of these plants and Im always worried about killing them when I trim them. Any suggestions?

With all the perennials you have, I have not seen a rhododendron. Is there a reason you do not have one? In my growing area (zone 6) they are everywhere. Also, with your love of succulents and Aaron's love of color, I am surprised not to see Delosperma Fire Spinner. I have some ice plants in my zone and they should come back next year based on their hardiness zoning.

Fun to see how things turned out, how did you like the self watering pots having something different in every one? I planted some dwarf canna in a small circle garden at the end of the driveway many yrs ago, they grow about 6' tall, ended up giving them away. I've never been a fan of coleus, but those were Beautiful, I'll be looking for some this coming season.

I planted Peachberry Ice Heuchera last spring and they didn't really look like yours. The ones(hah) I ordered and received were more orange in color, similar to what the tags and advertising photos depict. I planted in a full shade spot and they maintained an orange color with no hint of green all season. I wonder if that will change in their second season.
