Citrus Growing Update & Care Tips! Garden Answer Jasmine: I personally did not have a very good experience with Citrus Tone. It has mostbut not ALL of the nutrients citrus trees typically need. Specifically its missing iron, manganese, zinc, boron, and copper. Lemon trees are particularly prone to iron deficiency so not including iron in the mix is a big deal.
My 5 potted lemon trees developed iron deficiencies, manganese deficiencies, and zinc deficiencies with Citrus Tone since it couldnt meet their needs. I switched to Miracle Gros Shake and Feed fertilizer since it has ALL of the nutrients needed and its a slow release fertilizer. If anyone knows of an organic alternative to what Im using now that also includes all necessary nutrients for citrus, please share it!

My Meyer lemon is in a container outside our front entrance facing West. It has 3 lemons that are still green. I'm in garden Zone 5B, so eventually I'll have to bring the plant inside. How long do you think it will take for my lemons to ripen? Also, I've noticed that some of the leaves have a slight yellowing on the outside. Am I watering too much? I try to do it every other day and I have been feeding it with fish fertilizer, but will stop now that Winter is approaching soon.

omg i found another helpful video. Coming from CA i had 4 citrus trees in the front of our house never had to take them in. Now living in a zone 5 everything is new. I had a lemon tree didnt make it even though i did bring it in but had it in the living room with fireplace. It was also very small though. This year I bought a big orange and a medium size lemon dwarf hope they will survive. Your susgestions will probally help since you are in a similar zone.

Thanks for your videos! I have a meyer lemon tree that was growing great since I bought it in May 2019. I got two lemon within ten months, tons of blossoms that fell tho' and many branches and leaves. It now looks like a Charlie Brown christmas tree with one lemon dangling and only two leaves left. Tips of some branches are turning brown and working its way down. Can you please tell me why this is happening? too bad I can't post pics, I would show you. thank you!

Am in Zone7B in Pine, Arizona and i just purchased a dwarf meyer lemon and a dwarf clementine. Both in plastic pots with combo cactus and potting soil and even tho they have saucers beneath each, the pots do not sit in drained water thanks to boards in the saucers to raise up pots. Both are in my greenhouse and seem pretty happy so far. No transplant shock or leaf drop. hopefully not! Followed your planting video. so hoping they will be happy!

I was given a lemon tree 3 years ago and it was full of spider mites. Its going on another year and it still has not produced fruit. Am I doing something wrong? It seems to be happy and growing nicely. I repotted it right after I got it and then just repotted it a couple weeks ago because I found a nicer pot. I was told it was a Meyer lemon tree and it looks a lot like yours. New to the indoor fruit trees.

How old are the 2 lime and the lemon trees? How long did they take to fruit? We live in northern MN which is a bit cooler than where you are. We have a very sunny dining room with a large fish tank and i think a tree beside the aquarium would be beautiful! The aquarium does increase the humidity in our home which i feel would be helpful.
