Hey there, the recipes you made looks amazing. Just wanted to help you look at cake decorating differently. #1 Don't let it intimidate you. Instead look at the task in a whole new perspective. Think of the frosting as moving mulch aside before placing a new plant into the ground. The frosting is merely mulch gilding side to side until your ready to dig a whole (in this case cut the cake) before you plant. Once you start looking at frosting a cake that way you've mastered a new skill. Happy planting

I planted apple seeds from a great tasting eating apple and it took 12 years before we had fruit. The year before it produced fruit my husband said that we needed to cut it down because it was not producing. We joke that the tree was probably listening. Ever since then this empire apple variety produces the best eating/baking apple. It was a long wait, but well worth it. Now this year I plan to buy root stock so I graft a branch from this tree and clone it. Good Luck in your experiment.

A tip for growing lemon tree from the seeds: remove outer shell using your fingernails. Place the seeds on a damp paper towel, in a Ziploc. Put it in a dark warm place. In about a week your seeds should have germinated and ready to plant.

Morning, ive grown meyer lemons from seeds and this will be my second summer. So far they are about 1' tall and just green leaves. no buds at all. Now im in Ontario Canada so the seasons are probably a bit harsher then yours but i'll keep talking to them and watering and will see how long they survive. Thanks for sharing all your wisdom

Looks yum. I haven't cooked a dessert in I don't know how long, but I have an urge now to make this one. The look on Benjamin's face at the end is priceless and sure made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. My boys are grown up and my mum is now gone (Just like JoAnne below)

I also took a few seeds and put them in a little container with soil. And basically never thought they would grow. And in about two weeks I got little stems coming up and I was so chuffed. Now they are a little bigger and have lots of beautiful green leaves on them. Yay!

Your Mom has got to be so proud of you. I wish we lived near you I'd love to spend time with you together with my 2 daughters. You work so hard and much it's nice to see you relax. So grateful that you share your knowledge and your time with all of us from New York State.

Cool vid.
Regarding the citrus seeds, I always carefully remove the outer layer and wrap the seeds (separated) in a hand paper towel and place it in a ziplock bag then add some water to soak. The seeds take a little over a week to germinate/sprout.
