Ive been known to spray paint my boxwood green after that type of mishap. A couple of light sprays does wonders. It lasts through the rest of the year. One year, a worker was careless with the roundup (long time ago) right before the Spring garden tour. Talked it over with the owners, took a few sprigs to the paint store to customize the best shade of green and it worked like a charm. Not trying to be deceitful and being fully prepared to fess up, no one inquired that day. Certainly wasnt going to wear a sign or anything. There was a couple of close calls though. Im reminded of I Love Lucy when she planted the wax a Tulips. LOL

Hi Laura and Aaron! Another great recap video! I really enjoy these. I'm really looking forward to a video on ornamental grasses. I have 2 approx. 18 dia. pots that I want to grow some perennial grasses in. Purple Fountain is my absolute favorite, but they don't winter over in Nampa, ID. I used to plant them in the pots every year, but the root system is so extensive that it became too hard to remove since I have arthritis in both hands. I would love to find a grass that is really close and hope you can recommend one. Any videos you mentioned will e fun to watch. Thank you so much for sharing!

Hi, Laura! I just wanted to take a minute to say thanks for making these recap videos! Im pretty busy these days with young grandkids and dont always get to watch all of your videos, particularly the longest ones. I like these recaps a lot! Best wishes for an early spring in your part of the world. Here in central Florida the camellias are gorgeous and the azaleas are coming on too. I try to hold off on cutting things back until March 1st, but this winter has been so mild I know I wont be able to wait that long.

I totally understand that planning style. I'm a visual person too. Plus, I like to buy the discount plants and you can't plan for that. However, I still ask that you take us along for the ride (especially since we think similarly. I really get lost in all the beautiful plants and procrastinate on decisions or get nervous about hardscapes (I really need help with that since my house is already brick. I don't want to have to much of a mish-mash. Maybe even just a hardscape video?

YES - PLEASE provide a 'Black Walnut Video'. I hope you will address juglones in general, because I recently learned there are several trees which create juglones in the soil, including Hickory. Hickory seems to be why I have lost several shrubs that are not juglone-tolerant. I have no Black Walnuts, but do have several old and mature Hickories. Now I am trying to find shrubs that will survive these conditions.

If you make another video with specific colours of flowers would you please consider making one for peachy/apricot/blush coloured flowers? I find it so hard to find the perfect balance between pink and orange and I think you mentioned this was something you struggled with too in one of your videos. other than roses I can't come up with a lot of flowers in that colour and would love some inspiration: )

Laura, Olivia is not alone. add me! :) I heard you mention walnut trees a few times in your blue flower video and I thought, gosh! I could use a whole video series on what to grow and such! My land is surrounded by them. I have learned to garden the best I can in different areas, but I sure would watch what you had to say about it all! Thank you!

You talked about the 9 degree day you had, we had that up here in Eastern Washington as well. Now we are at 20 degrees and my rose bushes are budded out. I've wrapped them in burlap and put straw around them. Is there anything else I should be doing to protect them. Usually we have snow that kinda blankets them but this year we have none.

Could you talk about to put together a mixed light garden bed? My front garden bed goes from full shade to full sun, and everything in between. I have a hard time transitioning through the light requirements without the bed looking blocky. Any ideas for plants that are more universal that I can put throughout to make it flow better? Zone 7.
