Boise Show is Canceled! Gardening is NOT Canceled!
video description
Now, I have a question about cutting back raspberries. I neglected to keep track of which variety I planted where, It's a small patch but is there a way I can tell which is cut back in fall and which one in the spring? One is Heritage and one is Latham.

They postponed the Derby! They have never done that. I'm a Kentucky Lady living in WV. Last man standing. We did have a case show up today of the virus. I hope they keep shutting down all the big gatherings. We should have done that earlier. Your videos help my attitude every day. Watching someone be as positive as you are, helps me to look forward to each day. Thank you. Thank you for teaching us about all the different flowers and trees and shrubs and everything that you cover. I am so happy for your new purchase. I thought as soon as you announced it, Yay! at least another couple of years worth of videos. lol Stay safe, stay well.

I'd dearly love to see you prep us on how to grow food, how to choose seeds to create a balanced garden of fruits and vegs, quick growers, long keepers, flipping beds to new crops, quick start seeds in planter packs, etc. It's stressful out here and the idea of starting a food garden is top of mind and the smartest choice for many of us. Thanks for any consideration. I adore your expertise and natural ability to teach! Knowledge is power and a stress reliever. If we have plans and visions of future fresh food, not canned from our pantries, we'll feel more hopeful! Thx!

Oooh, I got so excited when you said maybe in the future you could buy more land & have HORSES! Think of the interesting things you could make videos of involving them! I know that it might be kind of a niche kind of interest for your viewers, but sort of like the cooking videos, I''m not interested in cooking but I still like your take on them so I watch them. I don't have horses anymore but I like to live vicariously through people who do, lol.

Also, can you think of a hydrangea that takes full sun and grow no bigger than 3' high by 3' wide? I'm trying to use it as the tall plant in the circle flower garden around the flag pole. The middle hight is peoni and the short is annuals and bulbs that are in the corners of the five sections I've devided it into, with a keyhole walkway.
Any advise would be welcome.
I hope this isn't too confusing. Please let me know.

I have found the most amazing cure for fungus gnats. I too dress my housemate with DE (diatomaceous earth) and have zero bugs. They last eggs in your soul and breed like crazy. The DE scratches their bodies and dehydrates them. It's magic! Takes about two weeks if you've got an established population. If your watering from the bottom you only need reapply every few months. Once the DE gets wet it's useless.

Laura, I love your videos, theyre so inspirational. I love your pots from Unique Stone. The Esplanade and the Savannah version is beautiful; however, in Tampa there are no retailers to order from, you just cant call Unique Stone order them and they send it to you. Can I order them from your moms store? How would you suggest I go about ordering some for myself. Thank you for all you and Aaron do.

I worked at a utility company for many years and did cost estimates for customer to underground utilities. Those are primary power lines which are much more expensive than the secondary power that went to your house. So, in my experience you could probably expect 7, 000 - 10, 000 a pole. Pad mounting the transformer, the up cable pole then the down cable pole. Very costly.

Milkweed is notoriously hard to germinate, so don't beat yourself up. And, Planterina has a great video about getting rid of pests organically where she recommends a hydrogen peroxide drench for fungus gnats. All that aside, your excitement about your new land is overflowing and infectious - I'm so excited for you! Just considering the possibilities. the mind reels. Lisa

You talk about the view from your home often, through different windows but I am terrible about figuring out which side of the garden is visible through the window you are talking about. Is it possible to get a few pictures looking out from the windows? At the end of this vido you mentioned the view from your sun porch for an example and I derw a complete blank.
