Planting a Container Full of Cool Colors! Garden Answer Christine: So beautiful! Love the colors, how they look when they are combined, the textures and learning about a new plant or two. Thank you for the inspiration! I remember when I first started watching your videos when you were at your other house. I was always amazed at how well you planted plants that you couldn't see! (I still am =) I know you do it so we can see what you are doing. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration in doing what is best for us even when it is harder for you.

The container is beautiful! And I love your optimism, but here in New York, we are still on pause so I dont know if there will be much flower buying. I planted some extra flower seeds in case we arent able to go to the stores. I figured we could use our containers for vegetables if need be since we are expanding our production this year. And I do have lots of zinnia seeds, as well as sunflowers. Now if only it would stop raining and warm up so we can get outside and do some work!

I bought a 8ft x 2ft raised bed, I dont have a green thumb so I need some flowers that are low maintenance. Ill be planting them in my front yard that gets full sun. However, I live in Massachusetts and our New England weather is unpredictable so Im looking for flowers that will grow year round and that will survive our winter. Im looking for something colorful, what would you recommend?

Can you please do a video where you and Aaron compete in planting the new concrete container you just placed beside your fence in East side driveway. Just like what you did last year. It would be exciting to see how your plants perform in container that you both planted this year.

What area do you live in? I'm in North Texas and a beginner. I love your videos so much! I'm starting to plant and revive my sad looking flower beds. Lots of harsh strong sun and heat is about to happen and stay for months. Do you have any tips or advice for me?

Im sure youve shared this before, but what do you use specifically for your weekly fertilizer for your potted flowers & for your vegetable garden. A bit embarrassed to say, maintenance fertilizers and time schedules have been so confusing for me.

Laura, I'm sooooo glad I found you! I'm stealing so many of your ideas. I started using containers last year and I LOVE them. I use them alone or in my flower beds. Quess I have to go the the nursery again. LOL Cathy M. from PA zone 5 LOL

I'm looking at the Heuchera on the proven winners website. Do you know if it will do well in direct afternoon sun in a zone 6 border? I want to use it, but am afraid it will burn up. I'm used to heuchera that needs afternoon shade.

I always thought I needed to really rough up the root balls--like really string them out. I'm so thankful to see how you manipulate the roots. You just saved my plants from a tough start!
