Flower Alley Part 3: Three Simple Colorful Combos! Garden Answer FINCH0070: Hi Laura! Loving this series, it's giving me so much inspiration for this year and next! You have previously mentioned that you fertilize once a week with a water soluble fertilizer. I was wondering what the NPK value breakdown is for your fertilizer. I thought you had mentioned in another video that the brand of fertilizer was Proven Winners, sadly we don't get any proven winner products in Canada (other than flowers and other plants) and I was hoping to find something similar to help my plants look as beautiful as yours. Thanks so much!

I so hope this makes it into the next recap video! I need help! Lol
What can you do to help your lavender plants that are in ground when youve gotten an obnoxious amount of rain
Im at a loss! I live on the coast of NC, and weve gotten all of this crazy rain thats moved across the country AND two named storms (hurricanes) off our coast already this year. Its rained 4-6 inches a day almost every day of the week for several months now. My
Lavender is starting to look so sad, and Im decently new to growing it!

Hi Laura, I wanted to let you know that I started watching your videos about a year ago. Since then I have really developed a passion for growing plants and gardening, so thank you so much for all of the inspiration that you bring! Question, do you have to deadhead the Orange Smoothie daylilies that you mentioned at 11: 45? I have two Proven Winners daylilies that just finished their first blooms, and I am not sure if I have to deadhead or not. Thanks again!

my husband worked for a concert company, and I agree with your husband, concert would make it look so clean. If you look at some polished concrete or stamped concrete, it looks amazing! Plus saving on having to weed all of that gravel, and speaking form someone who has older kids growing up on a gravel road, so many times I wish I could afford to pave it. If it's in your budget, I would 100% do ti.
And please talk about Love bleeding lies flower! :)

Makes me want to buy more plants. but MUST plant what I have already, right? How are your winter sowing plants doing? I have tons to plant out. One is even blooming! Wonderful first time success for me, as no room or funds for indoor seed starting set-up. Some seeds just now getting going in zone 5, some frost damage due to opening the tops too soon. Will be doing again, also trying the No Transplant option and growing in cell tray in a big bin.

Totally random question- I recently added some granular starter slow release fertilizer around the base of plants in my flowerbeds and added some Miracle Grow liquid fertilizer around others (I didnt have enough of both for the full job. We have also had a TON of rain in my area (standing water, soggy ground levels. Im noticing a lot of my plants now look iron deficient. Was it just the rain, or did I do something wrong with the fertilizers?

HELLO! I was wondering how you guys catalog/archive your footage. You have SO much great content and one of the things that my wife (whatsupinthegarden) and I love is that you always show a clip of what you're talking about when you reference something from a previous video. It would take me forever to find an old clip but it seems like it must be pretty quick for you guys. Any pointers? Thanks, keep up the great work!

Thank you for your beautiful videos. They are bringing so much joy to my quarantined life. I am new to container gardening and Ive planted a few this year. I have an urn on my porch which I have always planted a Boston fern. Im inspired to plant something around it, but not sure what to do. The porch gets a few hours of sun, but is mostly shaded. Any ideas?

How do you keep your boxwoods so dense? The ones I grew up with were always hallow in the middle with leaves on the perimeter. Then as an adult we inherited a few boxwoods at various rentals that were in the same condition. I love how full and fluffy yours are, but haven't taken the plunge as I don't know how to keep them beautiful.

I am LOVING the mini tours! Showing us around an area at the end of a video, the cottage garden tour where you focused on a specific area, anything like that I think is great! Love it all and I would imagine it's more manageable than the epic garden tour videos, but don't get me wrong--I do love the epic tours, too!
