Update on Our Container Competition! Garden Answer RocksInMyHead: Superbells have a predisposition to get a fungal root disease which kills them rather quickly. I live in an arid climate, planted them in a new hanging pot with new coir liner, used new, quality container potting soil, watered heavily once a day. I doubt the conditions I have here contributed to the plants getting the fungal disease. I fully believe the disease was already in the roots of the plants when I bought them. Not buying overpriced Proven Winners again.

Previously I had voted 8, 10, 2 and honorable mention 7. it did change for me and Im surprised. I think # 8 and 10 will move back up once the center plants top the exterior plants. so today for me Ill say 3, 2, 6 and I still love 8 and 10 and again think they will be hard to beat when the center plants mature - love this!

When Laura planted the Coleus she said she was going to plant 3 in case one breaks!
Sure enough.
A storm comes through and takes out just her Coleus!

You guys did great. Such a beautiful work of art. I love them all. 6 through 10 are so beautiful. But I love my blue salvias, just gorgeous.

Each has its own personality. The lobelia purple planted in the center of the pot attracted me. Enjoyed watching.

2 is the only one with the height needed to balance out the size of the large planter. Its dramatic and lovely!
