Designing Our New Land! Garden Answer smoothie: I love your videos but I wish they were a bit more budget friendly: ( most people and even the ones who do live comfortably, like myself, dont like to spend sooo much on outdoor landscaping. It just seems crazy to spend 1000's on dirt and plants that could die when you could put that towards a nicer kitchen which is a much better investment when your talking thousands spend on your home. please try to do some more videos without limitless budgets we all know it takes spending money to get a decent result but we all dont work at garden centers with huge discounts

Wonderful video, I learned a lot. I tend to think most woman fall into the catergory of 'I'll know it when I see it' when shopping for anything, flowers, shoes, thrift, it has to reach and grab us. And yes, we get to change our minds whenever we feel the need. I often start out with an idea, and mid stream I'm on to something else that works out better. The drone was so helpful.

I understand how you feel about taking your time planting. I'm that way too. I think its fun to do it like that because you get to look at plants along the way to see what best fits, and I love to shop! But I was a landscaper for a time and its hard then to have to plan everything out for one time to show your client. Don't worry, be happy and enjoy your new venture!

I am a late viewer of this video and so therefore a late commentator but I wonder how many were thinking the way I was when she was showing that land where maybe one person owns it and I'm thinking to myself wonder if said owner would be willing to sell that land to Laura and Aaron! A little expansion won't hurt

Hey laura. Id say you have a more organic approach. You need to be in a space and let it grow and evolve. You dont want a blueprint, with rigid lines where you are locked down. This is my approach to creative projects as well and thus I struggle with building things.

Your visual ideas are always so great! Can't wait to see everything come together. I definitely like the idea of walkways all around ur lot. It will be easier for you to do your garden tours & ur kids will have a perfect trail to walk while exploring on ur lot.

When I ordered the drip tape, I got connectors that shut off individual lines, not too much more expensive and easy for Aaron to change for your watermelons. (There were several places on-line that sold those kinds) You could have great watermelons this year!

This looks honestly so amazing! Im so impressed with your visions for this new property. Now that youve shown it on paper i can really see how you guys are so excited for this! I can see the vision stemming from your parents mature property. So awesome!

Hi Laura, just wondering if you have a section in your garden that everything spherical like spherical boxwoods clumping in different sizes mixed with spherical flowers like allium, incredible hydrangeas and etc. I think that would look amazing

Thanks for sharing your plans. With such a big space maybe you can include some big rocks. They are really fun for kids to play on as a natural playground. Speaking of a playground. have you thought about including a play structure?
