Trimming Spruce Topiaries, Planting Spring Stuff & Potting Up Seedlings! Garden Answer Kathryn: Okay guys! You can't even plan such a wonderful video. I tune in to see the flowers and new ideas all the time but when you asked Benjamin if he was racing you and then stopped in your tracks to race him, priceless! I'm in my living room enjoying my morning coffee and found myself thoroughly enjoying the break for play time. And then, you again stop in your tracks just like I do when you notice something new blooming in the garden. I love the naturalness and unplanned entertainment. Thank you for all the inspiring videos you guys continue to make. Made my day for sure!

when you are planting annuals around the base of an established evergreen with lots of roots, how do you gauge how much root disturbance is too much? The one time I tried this, the evergreen suffered badly and died in the end. It had a rim of soil around the original rootball from when I potted it up that same season, but it still died. The arb splayed down the middle and died. Was it getting too much water or was it the root disturbance or fighting for nutrients?

I spent the day adding drip irrigation to my new cut flower planting beds Ive added to in my back garden. As my treat for finishing my task I am watching your video for more inspiration (and motivation. I have a question about your work table the greenhouse. I have a need for a simple table in my back garden - what size is your table? (I have some left over boards from the new beds)

Love this video and the topiaries look amazing!
Question-what happened to the other new proven winner strawberries? Wondering why they werent used. Maybe taste-testing new variety? Maybe they didnt winter over well? Can you host a video on wintering strawberries over or when to plant new ones since they dont last many years on one plant. Thanks for all you do!

Hi Laura! This was fun to watch, especially you playing with Benjamin. The girls look healthy and happy! The topiaries look great and so do the planters. The colors are so pretty! I like watching you plant up containers, even if you use the same colors/flowers because they still look different. Those delphiniums have really done good. Thank you so much for sharing!

Oh my goodness! Benjamin is getting soooo BIG! ! And thanks for the memories that flooded back of me and my sister playing with my dad's socket set! And another memory that took me months to remember was the jinx and counting. We would say Jinx 1 2 3 4 5! Whoever lost could not speak until someone said their name. So I'm with you, Laura. We counted.

Today while putzing around in the garden I told myself and my husband that I was going to get after something more than a few times. He kinda raised his eyebrows as that's not a normal phrase I use. Watching this I realized where it came from and it made me smile: D Good job getting after those trees!

Hey are those the Growease trays you had the delphinium in? To get the plants out you just use the other stand piece that holds the wicking mat. Reverse it and set your tray of plants on top of the pokey part. It pushes them out! I saw this on the instructions. Pretty slick.

I followed your advice and sprayed my Christmas wreath with the wilt stop and it just now turned brown! I also sprayed my boxwoods and they didnt get any burn. Did you spray the lollipops in the fall or was the weather just too harsh for the spray to help? Benjamin is sweet.

Like you, I pointed out a crocus to my 5 year old grandson, who immediately stomped on it! My guess is that with all that fresh air and running around, your son probably falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow! What a great way to learn.
