Planting for Fall Interest! Garden Answer Amy: Hi Laura! I've been watching your videos now for about four years now and I absolutely love them! You have taught me so much. In regards to the western part of your yard with the arbs. this has always been my FAVORITE part of your yard. I love the formality of it. Just the simplicity alone. you have so many other beautiful things in your garden. I i think you need this area to stay simple. Just my opinion. and love the fall plantings and pumpkins/cabbages you planted around the trees there. I would have to walk by this area every evening with the kids on my evening walk. I truly enjoy your videos and was freaking out when Jenny came for a visit. I was giddy!

Laura- Not related to this vid but I literally took 80% of the plantings out of one of my flower beds & TOTALLY redesigned it, & I LOOOOVVVEEE IT! So if you see this I just want to say ty for giving me the push I needed to change things up in my garden. I'm the type that will work/plant around an area that I'm really unhappy with (in the end just making it worse & being more unhappy with it) instead of pulling & moving it fir the fear that ill shock it or kill it.

Loved the statue placement - perfect spot. Curious - how much input does Aaron have in plant placements especially in the South Garden? I see you mostly out there by yourself making decisions where you want plants to go. (Though I'm sure that you have talked it over with him at some point: -0. Thanks for all that you do, especially your philanthropic work for your community. It makes a huge difference when everyone steps up to help.

Really liked the plants you chose. I especially like a plant that can be in both shade and sun. very unique! I need a plant like that for my backyard. Will be on the look out for that one for sure. You really have a knack for finding the 'just right' spot for your plants. They all looked great in their locations. Will you add drip line to these plants too? Thanks!

Suckering question? I love the Virginia Sweet Spire and had it planted in my front bed but it's suckers were very aggressive. Is this an improved version with a more tame suckering habit? How and when would you suggest pruning this shrub to keep it from roaming everywhere? Thank you for any guidance and healing blessings to your Mom: )

Hey Laura! Big fan. I think it may be cool to see a short clip of plants you have in your garden (like the viburnum) when you are planting new ones. Would be interesting to compare the potted plant to an established one in the landscape. Thanks for these videos! Edit: Nevermind I see you did just that!

Would you consider planting a Ginko Tree? They are beautiful, they turn a gorgeous yellow in the fall.
I have to say Im enjoying watching the transformation of your property, you have a good eye for knowing what looks good together. It gives me inspiration in my small garden, thank you so much

I really want to thank you so much for all your ideas. I live on 5 acers three of it is landscaped and 2 of it is an empty slate (minus the shooting range) You have totally inspired me to work out there. I love more ideas and how to get rid of all the holly hocks. they are taking over. thanks again

just an ask. when you post videos later next season, will you include thumbnails of what these plants looked like when you put them in the ground in the fall? it would be nice to see the new growth in comparison to how they look now as they are winding down in the fall.
