Taking Apart & Rebuilding a Succulent Arrangement with Cuttings! Garden Answer Laureen: My husband and I always watch your videos together! We were watching one you and your Mom were doing and she was wearing your hooded sweatshirt, I told my husband I loved it and he surprised me with it for Christmas. Best Christmas gift! We went to your parents Christmas open house because of your videos and they were wonderful! Everyone there was very helpful and it was a great day. We did go to the road to your house and stopped at the private drive sign, did not want to invade your privacy, but it gave us a prospective to where things were in your videos. Thank you for all you and Erin do we really appreciate all of it and the people you are is what makes the videos so good you never need to apologize for anything!

Not a succulent gale I never found excitement in them? But you know with me when I don't care for somthing it usually ends up being the opposite so I may look into them and find out. Can we have a sneek peek at what seeds your going to sow in jugs this year! I'd like to grab the same ones and grow with you OR if you can I'll buy them as a packet if you have extra that is! . If I may say that would be a great grow together project for the fans! We buy the seeds that your gonna use and just share our growing on the fb page! There's a fb page us fans go on to share ideas under your name! Its called Garden Answer Groupies! But if not a good idea and timing is bad can we still have a peek of what your gonna go with!

I have a quick question. My husband bought me a Christmas cactus this year and it had beautiful pink/red blooms on it. The leaves were sturdy, beautiful plant. I've had this plant for about 2 months now and still in its original pot. It's on the north side of the house sitting in front of a big window.
1. How do I repot it? What's a good soil mix?
2. We live in Northern Nevada area, are Christmas cactus hard to maintain? It seems the green leaves are getting a little soft and blooms fell off. I thought I was keeping it well hydrated. HELP!

Ah, this video brought back some memories! The first video I saw from you guys was a similar dismantling of a succulent arrangement. I was like why is this lady killing these poor plants. I have been watching every video since, and I even made some succulent arrangements myself. You guys also inspired me to start my own garden. It's very eclectic, because I love just plopping down plants all willy-nilly, but with every passing growing season it gets tidier. Thank you guys for making my thumb a little greener one video at a time!

Laura you really have such a touch when it comes to these arrangements. thank you for taking the time to explain what youre doing and why, it helps so much! You have strengthen my knowledge with succulents and each time I work with them it gets better and better. Thank you!
As I was listening to the music and watching you place the succulents, I could almost hear you saying, oh theres room for one over here and one over there, and yes I can fit at least three over there! Lol - Beautiful job!

Thanks so much for the repeat on succulent care. Im refreshing a kalanchoe flapjack that has spotty leaves and has stretched so much it needs attention. But its forming a really nice bloom. Should I wait to repot until its finished blooming or can I get rid of the spotty/damaged leaves and repot without losing the bloom? Ive shared your videos with many of my gardener friends who have quickly become mad fans like I am! Thanks for any advice on the kalanchoe.

I'm so glad no one is filming me whilst I watch you building this arrangement! I talk to you, indicate with either head or hands which way the rocks should be placed! and all that's after I've settled in with which center interest is chosen. I really wanted the wreath thingie but this arrangment is wonderful. Great choices and placement (esp. with my assistance. Thank you much. l

Hi Laura! Your arrangement came out so pretty! I love succulents, but can't seem to keep them alive. I've tried growing them a lot. Same with cacti. I keep wanting to try again, maybe some day. I may just get some cold hardy succulents and plant them outside. My hens and chicks do great outside! Thank you so much for sharing and how to behead and start plants from leaves!

I LOVE how your new arrangement turned out, and I'm glad to know that I can behead all of my overgrown ones to start fresh. Quick question: I've propagated succulent leaves but I thought they had to lay face up, however it looked like you were laying yours face down - do you know if it even makes a difference? Thanks again for another great video!

I miss when your arrangement and wreath-making etc. etc. videos were done outside or in the old greenhouse. With the natural daylight and hazy background, they were peaceful and fresh, where now, the wall of different little plants and artificial lights in the background is a bit too much going on for the eyes. Just my opinion!
