Im with you Laura! Once you said nautical I cant get it out of my mind when looking at them. This is something you will be looking at and in every single day. I say you you find a light you LOVE! Everything is so gorgeous already, just make sure its something that makes YOU HAPPY! I think they need to be a bit larger. All of your lights on rest of property are very eye catching and gorgeous! I think these need to be the same. Not too large, but I think they could be a bit bigger.

Those lights totally scream nautical and its because they remind me of a lighthouse and they also remind me of Captain Hook because of the black with the brass together it always reminds me of when Tinker Bell was captured and thrown into a lantern. return them and get ones that are more elegant. keeping it real for you: )

Also, Lowe's has a pretty lantern you might like. I think it kinda matches the Hartley's looks a bit. It's $90 so a little bit more than you paid for the other one's, but it's pretty.

I think a light that hangs downward from such a high set light box would look better. Vs that pediment at the top standing taller than the door frame etc. And a bit larger scale. I might post a suggestion if I find one in another comment. -Theresa

I think I realized why I remember the stuff that Laura shows compared to others. With her daily videos, she explains every time when she does something (but doesnt feel repetitive. And this makes my non-gardener brain pick up stuff and remember
